Top 10 Worst Movies of 2020 - Awfully Good Movies

Make no bones about it, 2020 was the actual worst, but now that it's come to an end and most of us have lived to tell the tale, it's time for Awfully Good Movies to look back on this historic year for the movie industry with our socially distanced takedown of the Top 10 Worst Movies of 2020!
Even though movie theaters are just barely hanging on to life amidst corona, Hollywood should be glad to know that most of this year's worst list is made up of theatrically released movies...wait a minute, that's not good news at all! But whether you were brave enough to head into a theater to see Robert Downey Jr. begin his post-Marvel career with a steaming pile of Doo-DOLITTLE and the X-Men ending their original era of movies with THE NEW (DESPITE BEING DELAYED FOR THREE YEARS) MUTANTS, or stayed safe at home with Kenneth Branagh's truly fowl ARTEMIS FOWL on Disney+ and Netflix's despicable Polish sex (i.e. rape) drama 365 DAYS, it's evident that movies can still be just as terrible as ever whether on the big or small screen.
Now please, folks, get those vaccines when possible so I can once again scream in anger at the latest Vin Diesel crapfest amongst my fellow theatergoers and we can all get back to a world that's good and decent even when the movies are shitty and bad. Maybe that's a lofty dream, but if Glenn Danzig can secure financing for a horror movie about a chick with eye nipples, then I say anything is possible.

First of all,m Danzig's ''Verotika'' should be Nr.1 by a margin. Second, there were far worse movies in 2020 released that should be on this list. Like Birds of Prey, Mulan, WW84, The Fanatic or how about the CP propaganda called ''Cuties''?

I didn’t mind New Mutants. I liked its claustrophobic setting and I thought the young cast did a fine job. I liked Anya Taylor-Joy’s performance

I grew up as kid loving B horror movies like Full Moon Video, Basket Case, Killer Clowns from Outer Space, Troma, etc. and being the youngest subscriber to Fangoria, so usually bad horror doesn't get to me. But when I saw Danzig's white spider-rape monster shamble forward before being shot, I actually laughed out loud. It looks straight out of a comedy, or like it was from one of Bela Lugosi's films from late in his career. I can see a drunken, old Lugosi cursing between takes about the costume, complaining how he couldn't run in the thing, then just shanking every time the director said, "Action!"

maybe it was because I read about how bad it was going to be for months before seeing it but besides a couple odd choices or sudden tone shifts, I thought New Mutants was largely superior to the plothole soaked piece of cosmic shit that was Dark Phoenix

I chose to go to Dolittle and praise it over a trip to The Family Fun Center on my little sister’s birthday. WTF was wrong with me? Also thank god I went to the bathroom instead of staying to watch that dragon scene.

I really think the OG Rex Harrison 'Dolittle' really gets a lot more crap than it deserves. At least the filmmakers at that time actually gave a damn. The songs are quite catchy, the imagery is as memorable as 'Willy Wonka', and Rex Harrison is a delight to watch no matter what he was in. Just like the OG 'Pete's Dragon' as well, I think that film still has the potential to be a cult classic. Don't just get on the bandwagon. Otherwise; you were spot-on with everything. But, what do you expect anymore.

Hey I liked Bloodshot. They did a good job making an origin movie without it feeling like it's all exposition. And I liked how Vin Diesel's character approached the action scenes in this movie, you could feel his anger just looking at him and his movements. He had no concern for taking cover or mitigation damage or whatever. He didn't care. He was an unstoppable tour de force and it was entertaining to see someone fight like that. All offense, no defense necessary

I thought Fantasy Island was ok but I wouldn't consider it to be a horror movie at all false advertising on that. Also really liked blood shot and new mutants Haven't seen the Danzig flick yet but I'm a fan of his so I'll probably be biased on that lol
