@@Char444 Lol Singhi is an official language of India. Though Sindh went to Pakistan after partition , but there are millions of people who speak Sindhi in India. Also areas of Gujarat which borders Pakistani are mostly Sindhi. If you have no knowledge , better dont make any claims

there are only 2.7 million sindhis in india. Not "millions". Also sindhi is not an "official language in india". That way i can even say Hindi is spoken in Pakistan. because hindus here in Karachi, i have seen many of them writing in hindi.

Well to be fair the reason English is spoken by so much of the world now is in large part because of America, I know it feels like an insult to the brits since for some unknown reason they always find something about us to be offended about even though we’re each other’s number 1 allies but just look up the dates of when the surge of English speakers happened around the world and look at the dates of when America became the world’s true number one super power, the dates match.

@@antho12skater Yes I get that. But where did English originally come from? The language America mostly speaks could’ve been anything if history went to an alternative route. We could’ve all spoke French or Spanish or German, or even Japanese! I think it’s important to preserve the language’s origins because they are more important than the amount of speakers in one nation. Even if the nation with the most speakers and the origin is the same thing (such as with Japanese in Japan).

I am from Wales so I can speak English and Cymru but I lived almost 5 years of my life in Kerala, so I can understand Malayalam as well and now I am learning Hindi/Urdu.

Most of those countries are of British ancestry. India was never forced to speak english either, many indians have learnt it as a second language. Hong Kong was barren before we showed up, now there are over 10 million English speakers there. You have no idea what you're saying. lol

What the real problem is is not the English language itself but the fact that English is used to undermine the richness of other languages. That's where the tensions lie. And ultranationalists (from what I'm seeing on some of these comments) will try and force their language upon others. It's not fair on those who think otherwise. I love the fact that I'm from the UK but I'm not a bigot like quite a few Brits are. They should be proud of where they're from but also share respect for other cultures and languages. Our country is often branded as being polite and kind but this is becoming rarer and rarer in most situations. It's sad and I hope it changes otherwise we will just make ourselves look like fools, or maybe we are too late...
