Kadence Blocks is the best! I recreated a Neve Theme page made with Elementor and... The result was simply amazing! PageSpeed score of 97 Mobile and 100 Desktop, NO CACHE PLUGIN. This is just one example among many that you yourself, Jack, have shown and proven in other videos.

I don't get it. You created website using Neve Theme and Elementor? But at the same time it was created by Using Kadence? Kadence and Neve are Themes. How did you mix them? It is like Iphone and Samsung was mixed and IpoSam was created. Please correct me?

I'm about to launch my first WordPress blog site and a couple of weeks ago (prior to watching this video), I made the decision to use the combination you suggested - Getwid/Kadence Blocks. So first and foremost, thanks for the validation!! I'd been comparing different plugins for months but had been reluctant to make a decision. For a long while, I thought it would be Getwid and Gutentor, but in the end, I chose Getwid/Kadence. I would like to add that I also use the Editor Plus plugin which is basically a toolkit to add more functionality to the stock blocks that come with WordPress. Gutentor and Editor Plus might be a couple of plugins to discuss on your channel sometime in the future.

Great video, as always, Jack. Thank you for posting. I had lots of these types of plugin but need to trim them as you suggest. When you were going through the plugins, first time I watched this, I thought in the tool bars you showed one of them has a circular, stage by stage, arrow cycle making tool. I probably saw it in another video somewhere else....or, more likely, imagined it in a dream!! It's a long shot - but have you ever seen such a function on a plugin. Please don't worry, if not; I don't expect you to be a walking encyclopaedia of every tool on every plugin!!

Thanks, Jack. The form integration with Kadence block is the final piece I need to de-Elementor my sites! Question: What's your fav way to display transcript on a Gutenberg post? I'd like to post the transcript to my videos for SEO but keep the post tidy so would prefer the transcript to be hidden by default and click to reveal by those who want to read it. Thanks.
@JackCao
@JackCao 3 жыл бұрын
Glad that my video helped! There are a few ways to add a transcript. 1. Once you've pasted the transcript on your blog, you can add a "read more" tag, so when people visits your blog, if they are interested to read your transcript, they can click on "read more" 2. Use "Accordion". That way people will have to expand that Accordion in order to read your transcript. For me, I prefer to use accordion.

Brilliant video thank you... So say I installed the Ultimate one - and used some of the elements in a post .. then i decide to switch to kadence and that other good one you mentioned ... can I uninstall the ultimate one to save bulking up on plugins? Will I lose features off the post I used it in?
@JackCao
@JackCao 3 жыл бұрын
Once you delete a block plugin, I am pretty sure the features used will be removed as well. I recommend that you do some research on which blocks you need and stick with the block plugin for a long time. Some block plugins will have an optiom to toggle a feature off if you dont need it hence reducing the "bulk".

Currently there is no Gutenberg Block Plugins that does the "Exit Popup", but there are plugins that provide "Notifications (a top highlighted bar)". There is also a popup on click option and it is called "Modal" in Gutenberg Blocks. Man, you are amazing! Can I just ask which combination you would use in terms of premium block plugins to maximize the range of possibilities to create for new web freelancing? E.g Kadence pro & Getwid or something else? Kadence is having a sale until the end of the month. I also didn't easily find any block plugin that would include dot navigation on the side for quick access to different sections. Grateful for the effort you put out, looking forward to more and if you make one day a full Gutenberg course I'd love to enroll!

@JackCao 3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. I was too caught up with the latest videos. I think Stackable is a very good option for freelancers as they have a big arsenal of templates. You need to refer to the bottom left of the WordPress editor. Whenever you click on any elements of the page. They will show the nested layers of the elements, and you can basically select the right layer to edit. I do not have the intention to create and sell a course on Gutenberg, but I have a playlist of tutorials for you which I will continually add to the list as my channel progresses. The good thing about these block plugins is that most of them, you can toggle certain blocks off, so that there will not be any duplicated blocks. I think 3 block plugins are fine, but I recommend not going more than that. Also, you may want to take note of those blocks that may slow down your site: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jLtlibZhtdWYmGg.html

I've done Kadence and Stackable - curious on the support provided with GetWid. I don't see anything on their website other than email. Blog is outdated and their site, seems a bit vague. Although from what I can tell GetWid is free, but free isn't worth it if you run into problems with no support. Have you setup GetWid blocks and how has your experience been so far?

@@gisele-grenier Based on previous videos of Jack Cao, I explored 11 options offering professional Gutenberg blocks and I ended up using Kadence, Qubely and Stackable (the free version only for this later). I put UAG and GetWid in reverse in case I cannot realize a desired page element with the aforementioned solutions. I tested a few GetWid blocks (Avanced Heading, Image Box and Accordion along with Media & Text Slider) and had no issues at all.

@@zoltankemenes1981 Thanks so much for your reply. Sorry to ask...is UAG ultimate addons for gutenberg? Yesterday, I tested Kadence Blocks with GetWid and Stackable... So I like that Kadence Blocks are identified in blue, Stackable in pink, but Getwid is black which mixes with the regular Gutenberg blocks. No issues with all three, but I'll be getting rid of GetWid. Now what's really cool... I have the Kadence membership, so I have access to Kadence Cloud. I can design a page layout using Kadence Block and Stackable and save it to the cloud. When I clone my staging template (unlimited licenses on everything), I can import the layout I created. I've never heard of Qubely and from their website, they have some lovely features. Their Get Pro link on their site goes to a 404 page, so I'll let them know and will give their free version a try now. Thanks again for sharing your information!

@@zoltankemenes1981 just an update.. so I had a conversation with Qubely tech support. They have not built their plugin for accessibility compliance so anyone in the USA, EU or Canada could be fined if someone were to complain that their (the website owner's) website wasn't compliant and if it's due to the plugin - basically I was told that "Qubely did not build the plugin for compliance" At least with Kadence, they did take compliance into account. I don't know about Stackable though.

Kadence blocks and Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg is what I use the most. I especially like the ability to customize the columns with Ultimate Addons. I don't find that with Getwid. Sure Getwid has a ton of blocks. But most of it is redundant with what Kadence offers and layout is where I find the columns customizer in UAG shine the most - being almost able to replace Elementor.

@JackCao
@JackCao 2 жыл бұрын
It depends, I heard a lot of people saying GetWid is rather bloated, and I haven't test that out yet. I guess it is all about the trust you put into the developers of the plugin. Speaking just about the features, logically speaking, the free version of Kadence + Getwid is good enough. But, if you want more features with reliability, such as the modal block, then you may consider getting the Kadence Blocks Pro. But with that said, if the free versions of the plugins can help you create the web pages that you require, then there is really no need for you to get the pro version.

No question is silly, they are all valid 😊 All Gutenberg Blocks are embedded into the WordPress editor. So, if you just add a new page or post, and hover to the content area, you will see a "plus" where you can add block. I agree with the comment of Daniel Cavalcante, Elementor primarily building a hard core dependency with pages build with that. At first, I bought the page builder and designed my website and after my licence expires, the page builder is no more working and my all elementor pages DOESN'T LOAD AT ALL. I can edit my existing pages, this irritates me a lot. Now thinking to switch to some other "free" and robust page builder

I've tried all the plugins, they're good but I'm sad that none of them provide pretty and highly customizable POST GRID. I really wanna have a nice post grid like the one Blocksy theme has for displaying blog posts. Kadence Blocks' post grid is okay with a little bit of custom CSS but the column are limited to only 3, such a bummer. Do you have any suggestions for this? :(

A Kadence Blocks post grid can easily be made to have more than 4 columns with a single CSS declaration, as the container element is literally a CSS grid. You just change the grid-template-columns property into a higher number than 3. Of course they should really offer this option in the editor itself, but the fix only takes a minute.

Generateblocks provides the most basic and minimal block. It generally only provides the layout options and have not much function. Unfortunately, I would have to say it is the least useful Gutenberg Block Plugin. You may want to check out Kadence Blocks for Layout options and other useful features such as Accordion, Testimonials, spacers, etc.

@@JackCao Thanks for your reply. I agree with your opinion for the 98 % of users. But for the few 2% of users like me(Performance Freaks) that want the absolute Best Performance and Minimal amount of CSS loaded on the front-end then the Best combination "at the moment" would be GenerateBlocks + probably Getwid. So, at the end of the day, there are No such thing like the Absolute Best Gutenberg Addon for everyone, the Absolute Best Theme for everyobe, etc... etc... because every user have their own needs, requirements and personal preferences. But for the vast majority of users, I agree that Kadence + Getwid is the best overall combination. Have a great day :)
