I loved the Ghostbusters Kenner figures as a kid. My parents got me the original 4 Ghostbusters (the first ones, with the proton packs & mini ghosts) Slimer and Ecto 1, slowly, one at a time per special occasion, as that was pretty much all they could afford, when the series was still new and on TV. However I continued to love them, so as the toys got reduced and put in discount stores etc (eventually even pound shops!) they continued to buy them for me and I eventually had pretty much every ghost, monster and vehicle by the late 90s. Basically every Christmas, birthday and holiday from the late 80s to mid 90s I would get at least one more ghost/monster, long after most people stopped caring about them, but I loved slowly increasing my collection. I really wish I still had them, I don't know what happened to them :( At some point in the future when I have more space I'd love to get them all again :)

Always get very nostalgic thinking about ghostbusters toys. My personal favourite was the ghost zapper which I still have somewhere. I never had the firehouse though. Although my friend did so we would generally play at his house. I loved the ghost trap. I always wanted the wolf man figure but could never find it. My personal favourite of the haunted humans was Mail Fraud.

This was so cool to watch, I had this projector flash light thing that was pretty fun to play with. And Ecto 1 was so awesome to put the guys in and drive around. Loved seeing the old commercials too.

I'll never forget coming home from school and getting the ecto 1 and Christmas Day I got the firehouse. so many memories

A great video and such awesome memories. Definitely the most memorable toy line from my youth. The Haunted humans were always my favourites. My top 10 toys in the line were- 1) Terror trash 2) Granny gross (Terror trash and Granny gross are probably two of the most iconic figures from my childhood.) 3) Ecto-1 4) Firehouse HQ 5) Fearsome flush 6) Wolfman monster 7) Mummy monster 8) Tombstone tackle 9) Dracula monster 10) Hard-hat horror (I remember being really upset because I lost his pick-axe on the same day my mum bought him for me.) Three new favourites that I never had as a child, but now own as an adult are- 1) X-cop (Even though I never had him as a boy, he was always the Haunted human I wanted the most. Glad to have him now.) 2) Wicked wheelie 3) Terror tongue (A recent pick-up, with a cool action feature and an overall rather disturbing appearance. Luv it!)

Awesome!!! I had most of these!!! (I also played with the old granny toy a lot and have no idea why?!?!?). Unfortunately I don't have any of these anymore. I remember the dustbin guy I had a lot, plus some coloured gel hard plastic ghosts. It's great you have loads of these boxed/new, including the haunted toilet I had! Haha. Brilliant mate :-)

Great video. I was given the ghostbusters house as a kid and loved it. 12 years later I rebought the lot, just wish I had them boxed!

I gotta say, it's weird that Ray tried to rest on a toilet in a landfill. He deserved to get scared by Fearsome Flush.

There was also a torch gun type thing that would project ghosts The terror dog slide would scare the hell out of me

That was awesome mate. That poster of the Ecto 1 used with the counter was one I used to love looking at. The toy adverts were great to see too. I always wanted the fire house and ghost trap! Classic set of figures and I totally forgot about that sparking one until you showed it! I think my cousin had it or something but defo remember it from somewhere.

Nice video, Dan! I wanted that Ecto 1 so bad when I was a kid. I also wanted that life size ghost trap you could throw out and "catch" ghosts. You know what? I still kind of want that!

My number one would be the H2 ghost I got one from a shop for 10pounds and my dad done me a bath and I was playing With my fearsome flush ghostbusters and squirting the water from the inside at them.

granny gross was a classic of mine again I used to use her as a key charecter I think she was rays granny and she got possessed

I love this video so much as I'm currently collecting real ghostbusters need most of those in your top 12 so much to aim for no ghost zapper either in top 12 but I agree the fire house as to be number one

Luckily you can get used versions of these in good condition for not too much unlike other retro toy lines like the original Star Wars figures.

Still remember my best vacation ever it was 1992 the family we went to west virginia to do white water rafting n it was so terrifying especially I was only 7 n remember that night we went shopping n able to get one toy n I found a proton pack at the Kmart n then found a trap in the bargain bin then n was back at the hotel catching ghost then that night my dad really wanted to see terminator 2 that was just released in theaters n we all went n remember my mom covering my eyes when the bad terminator killed his step dad when he was drinking the milk n gets stabbed right through the carton lol, best vacation ever still have proton pack but lost trap somewhere down the line but def best toy ever

I always wondered if highway Haunter was their way of trying to get some sort of Murray The Mantis figure done. Pretty sure there never was one. My favourite Ghostbuster toys was the 3 fright features figures i had. Had Peter, ray and Winston. Never had Egon though.

Ahh the backround music gives me nastouga when i was little i played a 8-bit Ghostbusters mobile game on my dads phone and the backround music was the theme song that played on the menu and during the game i could reach all the way to level 10!!

So many ghostbusters toys I've never even heard of. After Ecto-1, Slimer, Stay Puft & the Ghostbusters, I moved on and missed out.

good review mate. some of my favorite toys from when i was a kid. Not without flaws though. The scale of the marshmallow man really confused and bugged me as a kid (and still does). i know kenner released a 12inch plushie but really what was the point of a stay puft that was barely bigger than the ghostbusters themselves and smaller than slimer? it would of also been better if they used the source material (the cartoon) more often. With the vast array of ghosts in the cartoon series, why the hell they had resort to using Hollywood monsters is beyond me. the fire house could of been slighty larger to fit ecto1 in and im pretty sure they could have given it a few more features. still great toys though with tons of memory's!

Very nice video! The Real Ghostbusers are the main reason why we still love toys so much. When we where kids the older brother used to make up story lines where the Ghostbusters had to fight against ghosts of famous gangsters (the Dick Tracy action figures from Playmates) or the Monsters in My Pocket. For a while our Ecto 1 was a yellow pre school toy car, and we still have one of the cardboard proton packs we made for our Ghostbusters figures, because we didn't have the first ones.

Hey dan I loved this video, I guess we’re about the same age, and it was great to see all these toys that bought back the memories and I thought I’d just share my favourite ghostbusters toys with you and everyone on the comments section here Well firstly it has to be the four original figures I still remember my sister waking me up in the night of Christmas 88 and saying we have presents on our beds so I took the ones I had into her room and the first one I opened was ray stanz and bizarrely I took my egon downstairs and my sister and I were looking at the presents under the tree and got a snack when we were discovered by my mums boyfriend at the time and said come on guys it’s 1.20 in the morning back to bed a Santa will take the presents back lol The ghost zapper gun was another huge favourite of mine which I did buy again a couple of years ago, standing in the cupboard at the top of the stairs with the lights off with the ghosts appearing in the wall then blasting the was great and just running around the house blasting ghosts great stuff Granny gross not because she was a favourite figure but because I used to pretended my sisters Barbie would phone the ghostbusters to say the barbie house was haunted I pretended that it used be granny grosses house and she was haunting the house so the ghostbusters had to save the day, The ghost trap was great and I feel I need say no more about that other than I will buy it again one day it was great The slimed hero’s line was great and the last figures I got but I have lots of memories of that line and the slimed feature was cool and I also used pretend the slimed hero’s were a spectral version of the ghostbusters to recreate the cartoon episode that had that story Ecto 2 because I was not expecting it, it was a random thing my mum got for me around Easter time one year and I played with it loads And yes like you Dan sometimes there were times I’d bring all my toys together although I only had bits and pieces of other toy lines as I was so mad on ghostbusters but I had a few he man figures, a galaxy ranger a visionary I had one mask toy and a few other things I forget but yea great memories Could you do a video showing all of your ghostbusters collection Also you can get ghostbusters toy posters on eBay on occasion

I love the little home videos you pop in from your childhood, I'm guessing your a little younger than me I was born beginning of 1980, so my childhood was all about the A-Team, Action Man, Star Wars, which were my favourite toys of the day, but as an older kid I collected Ghostbuster figures too, then moved on the the Monster in my pocket in the early 1990s then lastly the WWF wrestlers.

Mini traps hurt your fingers as a kid

Being a Ghostbusters fan, as a kid, I collected everything. Today because I am 36 I am thinking, why the hell did they release universal monsters? Besides Ghostbusters being at Universal, there is no connection. I found that really lame. I sure hope the they don’t release those universal monsters, and they create some cartoon monsters from real Ghostbusters or maybe from the movie. I can’t believe I wasted my money on Frankenstein and the mummy when I could’ve bought the real Ghostbusters that mattered.

Hey great video, huge Real Ghostbusters fan. I subbed a little while back. I'd include in my top RG toys Egon's first release figure (since it was the one that looked the most like the cartoon counterpart) Ecto-1, and the Firehouse as you mentioned..... def, the ghost trap and the proton pack and I'd include Slimer's first figure if he wasn't so out of scale with everyone. Otherwise he's an awesome sculpt. I'd also have to say Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is a great one too.

They were the first retro toys I got.Top mate!.I love biker mice aswell so I made my own toy off biker mice it's a patrol car I love it you could make your own thing from a certen thing.
