The brother eye situation reminds me of the vehicon apocalypse from beast wars uprising, with a few key differences, one the drones have a similar apperance, two they get rid of the thing that the villain despised, sparks, and three it’s in a good story

I've been spending the last couple weeks finally watching Avengers EMH, and I've spent most of it marveling (heh) about how most of the arc villains actually manage to be genuinely intelligent compared to some of their peers in other Marvel media. Which just adds a whole extra layer of humor to this video for me. (Btw, their version of Ross must be an *especially* devious mastermind to have hidden the Hulk so well... that the Avengers evidently just gave up on looking for him for a good 2/3rds of the second season. *Diabolical...)*

You also were a guest in a now legendary 57 hour livestream to raise money for trans kids. Aside from your spot, the best was when a sitting US Congresswoman came on to say 'trans rights'. And for me, 2019 was the year when *I* tried to become a better ally to trans people. I did a lot of organizing for a lot of causes, and of my new friends, the one with the most energy and dedication is a trans sex worker. A coalition I helped form did security for Seattle Trans Pride (unfortunately I was out of town on family stuff that weekend, but everyone said it went great). For clinic defense, I made a sign saying, "No SWERFs, No TERFs, No Mandatory Births". That friend I mentioned really helped us out when three of us got arrested by overzealous cops. It was a big year, and going forward, I will do my best to use my relatively privileged position to help EVERYONE in my community.

Fun Yu-gi-oh fact: In Arc-V, there is an alternate timeline version of events for GX where the head master of Duel Academy uses his students like loyal soldiers to conquer the world through dueling, specifically fusion summoning. Imagine that the world of Arc-V is like Avatar, only instead of various forms of bending you have the various extra deck summoning methods (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Pendulum) and the Fusion summoners are the Fire Nation. Seems to work since they're the main antagonists for the majority of the anime. So you were right, an evil professor who wants to use Duel Academy to conquer the world can and did work.

Happy New Year, my good sir! I found out about "A Voice From The Dark" from Ask Lovecraft and, then, started devouring your back catalog. Thanks to you and the wonderful story you and your fellow critics wove into being, I'm now following so many of them! Some Jerk. A-Rod. Dom. MarzGurl. WHERE HAS ALL MY TIME GONE?!!! I'm an old geek in his fifties and happy to see a younger generation really making fun and insightful creations for the coming generations! And a fellow Minnesotan, no less! Whoot! (I'm surprised I've never run into you in the local con-scene; but, then again, I've not been to a comic con in YEARS!) Anyway, love your work and am so happy to have discovered it! And to add to this past year's fun: I bought almost all of that original Hellraiser series (but skipped the specials) and, I concur with you: the stories with Face are probably the best. Great video, but I can't help but put my own thoughts on some of your entries for this list. #15: I feel like there was a worse plan in March of the Titans you could've gone with. Primarily, Vandal Savage's plan to use Lilith Clay, aka Omen, a former Titan, and her foresight abilities to put together an evil team, especially when said evil team would go up against the Titans, and not expecting said team to fall apart. Seems dumber than having the Schrodinger's Cat of plans like Mr. Bones. #14: The funny thing is that this plan did work for another villain. Apologies to fans if I get any details wrong, as I'm only familiar with the broad strokes. In Yugioh Arc-V, the universe is divided into 4 separate dimensions, each focused on a type of monster from the extra deck. (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Pendulum) The fusion dimension is based out of their version of Duel Academy. Even has a version of Aster Phoenix and Alexis Rhodes. Then, the main villain of most of the show, the Professor, comes in and basically takes over, making the students his personal army to take over worlds while the Professor himself is not a very good duelist. There are 2 major differences between the Professor and Skunky McCheatington. 1: The Professor has advanced tech that allows for Duel Monsters to come to life and cause physical damage, as well as the ability to travel to different dimensions. 2: He managed to find a minion who was both a great duelist and sadistic enough to want to use the real monster tech on people.

These things happen and are totally understandable. You've been busting your ass every single week for years, all on your terms and in a medium that was still very new when you started, and really is still trying to figure out how exactly it can work, not helped by KZfaq's "throw darts at a spinning target and don't tell anyone the results" approach to deciding its policies. And on top of that, you do a lot of stuff outside of AT4W, so we can cut you some slack for missing an episode like once in a decade. Happy new year and have a great 2020!
