Anyway, my wife and I recently split and during the initial rough phases where I literally didn't even know what to do with myself, I just happened upon your channel. It's bcuz of you with an assist to hellhades that I even downloaded raid and started playing. I'm so thankful that I did. It helped me focus on things other than the pain during some dark times. I've come across other content creators that do an absolutely amazing job, but nobody puts it all together like you do for me. So I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was ur energy, ur frequency ur vibe that really shone thru.. Keep doing what you do and doing what you love because you never know who you're touching and whose life you are affecting. Nice list. Hellborn Sprite is used in similar fashion to Valerie. If you need one of them for buff extension, they are gold. Spirithost is one I have used forever. Cleanse plus block debuffs and big attack boost. Solid champion that will see a lot of use as you build your roster.

One that you left off that I would've thought was a sure fire top 15 is Coffin Smasher. Triple hitting A1 with each hit having a chance at placing the big decrease Attack, A2 with a base 50% chance at placing HP Burn, and a passive that mitigates AoE damage by 5%. Perfect for both Clan Boss and Fire Knight, and hp based so he can survive a ton. Should've at least been a honorable mention!

This list is great. I love the fact that you don't mind going out there and putting Champions on your list the others won't. I have 2 that I would like to "promote" here. I'm in the really early game, so those 2 might not be as good as I think, but they are incredibly helpful to me right now. Avir the Alchemage and Coffin Smasher! I would love to hear what you think of those.

I'm shocked that Harrier never got mentioned, i mean attacks 1 enemy on a 4 turn cool down when booked unbelieveable if not OP skill.

Runic Warder was a rare I got early in the game and used him to scale through FK. I didn't have any other way to break the shield. So for the first 5 months I played the game he was on that team. Not a top 15 rare or anything, but he was very helpful to me.

I'm still surprised when Coldheart shows up on the "best rares" list... because I forget she's a rare. I guess I see her as a legendary

For the early game, Odachi got me through a bunch of stuff that allowed me to get into mid-game. I know he's an honorable mention but I think he is useful if you have him.

What about prosecutor, she is a beast. I have mine with shadow strike, fully booked with basic artifacts. She has a 100% heal reduction skill, and an aoe reduce speed debuff. Her a1 kills the turn meter, and hits twice ( 4 times with shadow strike). Please give her some love and maybe a good build idea. Thank you for the content Ash!

Bro, I use Frozen Banshee in my unkillable comp (slow double maneater) and she always does over 20mil damage. She is the slow champ with Martyr and Dark Kael on Spirit CB. She totally needs to be higher. Coffin Smasher deserved a spot on this list, and Bulwark should have gotten at least an honorable mention. I feel like Marauder is being slept on, highest base hp of all rares in the game right now. Has provoke, shields, reflect damage, and aoe dec attack in his kit. Super cool dude.

Shout out to mother superior. Her heals and shields are legit and helped me tremendously in faction wars and will occasionally use her for additional shields when needed aka doom tower

I dont think he was snubbed but personally I am a big fan of Draconis. One of those things where they are not the greatest Champs but you just love them anyway.

I don't use many rares anymore after playing for 2 years, but I do still use Coldheart, and Reliquary Tender all over the place. I have an alt-account where I built reliquary tender as well, and I stopped using her when that account pulled Raglin, and that was when I realized she was who Reliquary Tender is most alike, I haven't used an epic that does what Reliquary Tender does, but Raglin? Raglin is actually a direct upgrade, and now I realize I'll never stop using my Reliquary Tender on my main account until that too pulls a Raglin.

Great list! I am a huge fan of Bellower. I am currently playing through Final Fantasy VII. I am currently reading the “Chronicles of Cain” by John Corwin. It’s been hard to put the books down. If you are a fan of urban fantasy, I would recommend it.

Friend of mine started playing about 6 months ago. He saved up 5 Void shards and went in for his first pull. He was upset with 5 rares. All I could see was 2 Coldhearts (took me until day 270 to get my first)

would love to see a top 15 worst champion and how even with the best artifacts and blessing and still would not get them out of being anything less than average

On another note, one has to take these rankings with a grain of salt, esp. since raid is a game that (other than special rooms) one has to consider champions of all ranks to prioritize. I had a look at my account (late game). I have 44 6-60 champs. Only 5 of those are Rare: Elhain (starter) still use as campaign farmer, Coldheart still use in fire knight, Frozen Banshee , still a part of my 2-3 key UNM traditional Clan Boss team, Warmaiden (was great from early to mid game and faction wars, but I just use her there only now after finished Barbarian FW), and Apothecary (ditto, FW only now and that's done.) No regrets maxing each of them when I did, but not all are that useful in the big order of things

I was doing a ranking of Rares a while back for fun and obviously came out different as it's personal opinion. I love Dagger and Valerie - they still form part of my Banner Lords faction wars team that first cleared Stage 21 18 months ago. Reliquary Tender I really like and keep wanting to find uses for. Coldheart is obviously awesome, but honestly I don't use her in much or any content any more. For me, my #1 Rare by a distance was/is Renegade, because she is so good for endgame speed farming teams if you don't have Kymar/Yumeko. I used 3 different Renegades in different content for a while.

Book Recomendartions for anyone I like: From author Fritz Leibert's, the "Fafhrd and Gray Mouser - Swords & Sorcery" series; Roger Zelazny's "Lord of Light" and maybe stuff from Michael Moorcock's "The Eternal Champion Saga series of novels", maybe some "newer" Sci-Fi in "The Three Body Problem" super good book series. :) Regards from Tabasco, México [Land of The Olmecs]!

Your epic you were trying to remember was Stag for increase accuracy.... shame.. shame xD For me, my honorable mentioned/snub is Seduccer. This champion was everywhere for me early game and still gets used in doom tower secret rooms

I run pain keeper and a 3*gnarlhorn for spider 20. Absolutely amazing combo with Hp burn and turn meter control champions for anyone struggling

Good list, but you snubbed Heiress, the end game CB champion used on tons of speed tunes! Also really good in rare secret rooms.

I missed Heiress in your list. Great ftp farmable champion that is useful almost everywhere in the game. Her, Templar and Valerie carried my Athel all through the early and mid game. I still use her in Faction Wars, Tag Team Arena and as my speed lead in the dungeons.

I have a total of 13 rares that are fully max and geared, two Coldhearts and Two Kaels, but the champion you didnt mention was Valerie, her A2 has been part or my arsenal since the biggining. So she will rank in my team as 11, While Kael is first CH second Apothe 3rd. Love the ranking videos now rank top true damage nukers next.

I pulled psylar about a month ago and i had to max a void champ to get that arbiter mission done where you ascend champions to lv.6 of ascension,so i got to farming food and then few weeks after i pulled kurzad now i am debating building him over psylar maybe?because after getting arbiter,psylar may not come that useful but kurzad good aoes,plus no books required,lemme know who should i build(for long term usage)

Hi Ash, love your content as always. I would LOVE for you to do this list but specifically for end game. Probably 12 of the rares on this list wouldn't show up at all on the end game list. Those DT secret rooms means that rares like abyssal, Crimson Slayer, Elhain, Soulbound etc. get WAY more play than the Gnarlhorn types. No arguments on what you've called out here, but given that RSL is a "mature" game with a lot of end game players I would love to see the list redone from that perspective. Thanks tons, as always.

You could do a tierlist of the champions with S (Auto Max), A (lv 60), B (lv 50), C (Situational), D (Trash). Something like that.

I have 3 coldhearts 1 in regular gear for spider 1 in destroy for sacrab 1 in stun for secret rooms..lol

Ash try David Gemmell audio books there's a three part series you'll love..it's like lord of the rings meets game of thrones type stuff very well narrated ..can't recommend it enough..I listened to him on KZfaq but you might find it on audable maybe..ps thanks for the vids

90% of these Champions are Void Champions. Given how hard Void Shards are to come by (especially F2P), it would be nice to have a list of top 15 non-Void rare Champions...

I think the Dwarf Master Butcher deserves at least an honorable mention. Between his A2 and A1 he can keep 1 target provoked full time. His passives are unique for a rare to.

I pulled Judge early in my main, back in 2019 he was very good damage and debuffs, but maybe just so many new characters now he is forgotten.

I only really got Frozen banshee early game which worked well with my Elhain.. still dont have Coldheart, gnarlhorn and renegade.

I recently leveled up a Gravechill Killer and like her. She does some decent damage and teams up well with Frozen Banshee.

Warmaiden confuses me at end game, doesn't she get outscaled by champs like Dhuuk etc? I never invested in one past 50, does it purely come down to secret rooms? In which case I will do one eventually but for other content isn't an epic or Lego with 100% on a three turn not a better option?

You really snubbed Heiress. Enabling the most acessible 1-2 key UNM Clan Boss team. Built super fast and high dmg, she carries hard secret rooms too. Increase speed lets your stun champs go faster. Kael is the best early game. Elhain is the best late game. Her use in doom tower hard secret rooms in stun set is vital. Three other mentions: Fleshmonger, Graybeard, Marquess.

If you're into star wars there's a huge library of books, the legacy novels are the best, you can start at the beginning with dawn of the jedi.
