The 1.0 heroes biggest sin was being the line’s first impression on the world. Hero Factory’s first year had a big marketing push most lego themes would kill for and the sets they were advertising just weren’t very good. They felt like a weird knock off of Bionicle which people were still very upset to lose and that reputation persisted until the end of the line. Had Hero Factory’s first wave bern made with ccbs I’m willing to bet the series would have been remembered way more fondly.

Hero Factory saved BIONICLE G2 by developing CCBS. Imagine BIONICLE sets using CCBS in 2012, they would look terrible because LEGO had no experience with those pieces. But after 4 years of learning on their mistakes, they were able to create really solid sets in form of Masters and Uniters. If not cancellation in 2017, next wave of BIONICLE sets would be the best line in whole construction history

I mostly agree with your list, when i was a kid i LOVED nearly all the sets especially Invasion from below beasts even tho my collection as a 8 year old sucked with all sorts of gaps and missing/broken pieces looking back a lot of Hero Factory sucked, but i will say hero factory was probably one of the best lego brands and best thing from my childhood, some sets were great (Von Nebula, Toxic Reapa, Crystal Beast) some really sucked but it still gives me a lot of Nostalgia which does always give me a spark of happiness

I’ve always liked flyer beasts head and a winged beast is a cool idea, but the execution of the rest of the set wasn’t that good. I believe it would have worked more if flyer beast was a titan figure with huge wigs and long talons

I've always thought Furno's silver arm is an up-armoured "power fist" like on Warhammer's Space Marine Terminators.

first heroes had terrible limbs, i agree. but still better than av matoran/stars, since heroes did not had em that much bend. but still useless piece. i have already round 15 of these limbs in my huge mix bin of hero factory/bionicle parts out of all sets i got incomplete from mega packs from various offers, and still dont know how i use em. probably never and for not a single thing

I basically fully agree with this list like the flying beast was buthered, like I once saw revamp it had both of the hand, shortened the wings a bit and added the 2009 dragon wings in black and it looked awesome The only one I actually disagree with is evos canon I like the design and it being a civilian vehicle in addition to having three of these jumpy things makes it great for armee building

I think the fact that the first breakout heroes didn't have a human hand in the zamor launcher may be because that helps the combination model (they look like animals). Although the large torso of surge has no explanation, the small torso would even look better in the scorpion Splitface

I don't care Firelord is my favorite set from all Hero Factory XD When i was a kid i couldn't get it so i got it when i become adult and i love it. I need only Jetbug and i will have my all Fire gang collection complete. Yes i agree with problems this set have but i still love it.

#15 I like this set fite me #14 Since he's just here because he's not so special, I'd agree I guess. I still like Aquagon though. #13: Fair. He's still cute though. #12: Too many blue pins?? It makes it look cool and industrial though! #11: Flyer Beasts wings look great! I like this set, both of his arms are tipped so uniquely. #10: I was about to throw my computer out the window until I realized I took the arm supports off years ago. They stink. #9: ...yeah. #8: I still like Fangz and wish I had him... although I guess you have a point. #7: I LOVE THIS SET- it's one of the most amazing looking breakout sets ever! Who cares about the back cover he looks AWESOME #6: I mean yeah I could agree with this... still though he has thin limbs because he's a S P I D E R. I enjoy my Scarox set because I modified the arms to not flop down. #5: The weird fishman thing is the whole point! That's his charm! Half fish half man! He's NOT a nothing set! Although he does kinda have the three limb problem. Doing stop motion with him is akward. #4: No. Just no. #3: I actually fully agree with this. I've had bruizer in the scrap pile for years. #2: Yes.
