Ah! In Part 2, you have the charge protection circuit. 5V USB Mini in. Nice! This will almost last forever! Thank You, TA!! Anyone can get 20 (TP4056) for 9 Dollars US. 1A. It would be slow(er) for charging an 18650, but it would do it. The battery shown here is fine for this project. I'm saying that this module (TP4056) can be used in many projects. Even ones with 18650's, and an 18650 (or two) would last a really long time. Don't charge Lithium Ion over 4.2 v. Don't discharge Li below 3v. Store Li batteries at 3.6/7v.

Extraordinary...sublime...as soon as I saw it I began to think how difficult it is! It must be trying to always create a circuit with new LEDs. But this last one, like many others, is beastly. Although there are 48 LEDs, ha. Can you put fewer? I suppose so. And always remembering that you give us the circuit diagram. het was zo duidelijk dat ik het gewaagt heb om het te bouwen ik had maar 40 kleine leds toch maar geprobeerd is redelijk gelukt ondanks mijn trillende handen ik ben 87 jaar ,alleen jammer dat in China kan ik geen leds meer vinden heb je raad.groetjes Theo.

but does the 74hc595 ic get warm? As per the data sheet max output from it's pin is 35mA which is just enough to glow only one blue led! But here u connected 14 blue leds means 420mA from one pin! Do u recommend to use transistor instead of directly connecting the leds with the ic pin?

Please consider that the outputs of the CD4017BE have a limited load capacity. It's a CMOS IC. With so many LEDs per channel, I would add small MOSFETs.

I have made this circuit now 3 separate times with the same problem. The LEDs do not cycle. If I interrupt power the next one in the series lights, but if power is left on, only one lights and does not progress to the next one. I made the solder version, a breadboard version, and a pcb board version, all with the same problem. Please help!
