In the 90s, arcade halls were brimming with life. Undoubtedly, 1993 was an exceptional year and possibly one of the greatest in the history of video games. In this video, I pay tribute to that golden era with an exciting TOP 20 list, which will reveal the best arcade games of 1993.
With an Old School presentation and the use of shader filters, I celebrate one of the most memorable periods in video game history. I hope you remember and relive the fun of these games, which remain incredible even to this day.

I remember being unimpressed of Samurai Shodown when. I saw it in gaming Magazines (EGM and Game Fan) in 1993 but when I saw it and played in the arcade it quickly became one of my favourites of that year. Samurai Shodown 2 is definitely is the best of the series for me and one of the best fighting games ever

Estoy acostumbrado a los videos con los mejores juegos que pululan por KZfaq, pero amigo, lo tuyo es está a otro nivel. Me encantó tu sentido del humor que desplegaste en la historia. No me quiero imaginar el trabajo que debió haber llevado armar toda esa presentación. Ya has puesto muy alta la barra, incluso para tus futuros videos. Y podemos o no estar de acuerdo con el lugar en el que terminaron los juegos, pero eso siempre dependerá del gusto de la personas.

Iba a decir que el primer lugar se lo merecía Rigde Racer por su increíble salto tecnológico en cuanto a mapeado de texturas y tecnicas como el gouraud shading. Hasta que he visto mi querido Cadillacs, el arcade 2D de mi infancia.

1993 was a great year, to be sure, but the decline had kind of already started this year as well. By '95 and '96, the waning arcade popularity had become all too apparent

I recently got into Retro emulation and I’m glad I’m off current trend of game. I got my old favorite games up to PS3 and stuck on MAME and other arcade cabinet

Sports arcade games were very popular, and that year saw some of the best NBA basketball games, in my opinion. Perhaps I have some bias towards RUN & GUN since it was one of the arcades that I enjoyed the most. It was impressive, with graphics that were among the best you could see at that time, especially for sports games. Additionally, you could play with up to 4 players simultaneously.
