I remember the Johnny Carson one very well. This was during the early 1980s. I remember my mother and her ex husband talking about it, after reading about in 'Jet Magazine', a popular who's, who celebrities magazine, in the Black community. Yeah. I remember my mother saying that Carson disowned his son, after he'd found out that the pregnant lady is Black. I remember seeing the Black woman in that particular magazine. She is a brown skin good looking woman. Imagine racist like Johnny, whom smile in your face. But behind closed doors, said the N word often. Also. The late comedian John Witherspoon said that Carson cocaine habit was so bad, that he had a hole in his nose.

I was a huge fan of the Tonight Show. I loved Johnny. I watched a whole documentary about him and NONE of this was mentioned. I didn’t know he was a racist b*stard until just now. His son is trash too. 🗑 I don’t know how I missed this story in the early 80s! 😞

Witherspoon didn't get caught up. And the 1970's was the decade were cocaine was heavy. Especially in Hollywood and the NBA. I think that Witherspoon had also said this about Carson on DJ Vlad's show. This was not too long before he'd died.

I find myself putting in a good word for the erstwhile Televangelist Jimmy Baker. I did not watch him nor was I a fan, neither was I a hater. But grew curious over time and looked into his case, as well as read his book "I Was Wrong." Think of him what you will but this man was a visionary pioneer and entrepreneur. He didn't just have a show and a theme-park/resort, he created the PTL Network empire! Then other sinfully jealous televangelists set him up and took him down like a crime family. Although he served time, he was eventually exonerated of the trumped up charges of overselling time-shares, which turns out is standard business practice in that scheme! Also the "affair" was set up with the secretary of one of his jealous "ministers" rivals. If you read Jimmy's book you'll quickly realized it would be more appropriately titled "I Was Wronged" in which he claims his sin was to knowingly enter a hotel room where the secretary awaited to ensnare him but that he never consummated the "affair!" And I ended up believing this slick little mongoose televangelist over the crime syndicate televangelists that set him up and stole the network from him, which was the whole point of taking him down, which included Jimmy Swaggart, Jerry Falwell, and a few others in that pit of vipers.
