Meryl and Maks will always be the best...by far. They were just perfect.

Shawn Johnson deserved a spot and deserved to be a 2-time champion. She was amazing and Underscored in season 8 and All Stars.

I also loved Cheryl Burke & Gilles Marini (their Argentine Tango and other routines were fire)🔥♥️

This list is ridiculously incomplete without Cheryl Burke.

My two favorites are definitely Nyle and Peta they had me in tears when they shut the sound off during one of their performances so you could understand what Nyle was feeling when he danced. Then my equally favorite couple was Derek and Bindi who also brought me to tears at the end of their dance routines Derek displayed a photo of Bindi and her dad Steve as a surprise to Bindi. I balled my eyes out in that episode. Both of these couples were phenomenal and I just loved watching them perform.

Amber Riley deserves to be on here and Nyle DeMarco should have been way higher up on the list considering he couldn't even hear the music he was dancing to.

Mark Ballas and Page VanZant, the wrestler, they were extra fabulous. They had several truly memorable dances & were great throughout the season. Mark always liked to dance on the edge & always produced extraordinary dances.

Finally some Corbin and karina love but I’m surprised Derek and amber weren’t on the list

Giles Marini & Cheryl...hands down one of the best

Milo Manheim was 17. I repeat 17. And he had to LEAD in 8 difference dance styles, smiling and having a good time. Can anyone name another 17 yr old male that can do that? Over 90% said he should have won.

Kellie & Derek had the best routine freestyle ever! Derek always seems to bring out the best in any partner & with a competitor who had no dance/acting experience. Whitney & Alfonso had the most chemistry, while Jennifer Grey & Derek & Kelly Monaco & Tony D had great routines,

NO! You act like only the last few seasons matter! You missed one of the best couples of all -- Hélio Castroneves and Julianne Hough in season 5. Pick any performance, and we were all in love!

I think Sharna and Noah should've had an honorable mention at least. As someone who had his arm and leg amputated and still made it to third place was amazing. He and sharna were great together and their freestyle/contemporary always touched my heart

I think Charli and Mark will always be my favorites. Such a beautiful sibling-like chemistry and obvious winners from the beginning!

NAILED IT!!! Max & Meryl we’re the HOTTEST, most lit couple still to this day!! Nothing beats their tango, or the chemistry between them!!

Although I’m not necessarily a fan of his, I still think Mario Lopez and Karina should have been on your list. In fact, it seems like the early favorites never make these or other people’s lists.

I can see why all of those couples made the list, but my favorites are Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya, followed by Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson Herjavec.

I agree thr list is incomplete without Cheryl. And I have to add without Amy Purdy and Derek. I mean seriously! She was a double amputee!! And never receive any score lower than an 8 from the judges. Her performance average of 27.9 out of 30 is among the top ten of the highest ever on the show's history (with Davis' 28.4 average being the highest ever). It was mind boggling to watch!! And Derek showed amazing skill and innovation in working around issues! Max had always been my favorite male professional for his skill in the sexy latin ballroom dances but I really liked Derek as a kind and encouraging teacher who consistently got results and worked amazingly well in some really challenging situations. He reminded me of my music teacher who took on teaching me a musical instrument despite severe hand deformities and we found a way. I'm not saying they should be on the list because of her physical handicap, because that is just the uplifting icing on the cake when knowing what was being overcome but they deserved to win based on routines alone. If you didn't know her story and just watched the dances you would never have guessed. Truthfully, though these are so many brilliant couple, and it's not that I think anyone you choose didn't deserve to get the kudos but there were several pairs that deserved it more.

how could you have missed derik and amy purdy . their 3rd dance still brings tears to my eyes. there will nevr be another pair that will come close to what they accomplished !!

I realize you're afraid of being accused of recency bias, but leaving Charli D'Amelio and Mark Ballas off this list is ridiculous. D'Amelio is a generational dancer.

I thought Amber Riley's freestyle dance was amazing with Derek Hough.

I get why Meryl & Maks got the top, though I could argue several other couples. But to not have Shawn & Derek in at least the top 3 is nuts. Cheryl & Giles or Drew, Mario & Karina, Amber & Derek, Maks & Mel B…like…this entire list was a head scratcher. It started off bad ranking Julianne & Apollo at freaking 18. No Helio listed. And Normani any lower than top 5 is criminal. You’d do better to break these type of lists up by the two decades. Imagine not having one Cheryl Burke couple on a greatest DWTS couple pairing list. Insanity. 😩🤣
