Wonderful choices and loved listening to your descriptions of them! Many of my favourites are also mentioned. Classique, Samsara, Loulou, Poison, Rush and Obsession are perfumes that has an eternal place in my collection.

What a wonderful video! I enjoyed revisiting many of these fragrances. Thank you for your mention of YSL’s Paris. I loved wearing it in my twenties and am enjoying it anew at age 61! Glad to know I’m not alone in my love for it - there’s nothing quite like it.

Excellent list and I love it that you included celebrity fragrances as well as designer. I would suggest trying Insolence and Alien 🥰 I own Paris edp and although I don’t wear it often, I do enjoy that flowery bouquet on occasion.

All the classics!! I love my Coco Mademoiselle! The original Anais Anais was my love of the 80s, and I loved Lou Lou, too! I do smell a bit of Lou Lou in Yes I Am, but just a bit. Poison back in the day was a favourite, too! Super choices! I just sniffed Poison Girl and Pure Poison today. Oh Opium. You're bringing up soooo many memories. Thank you so much!!

You're spot on with your descriptions! Maybe do the "Classic Perfumes that are still great today!" video! I love my fragrances from the '80-the '90s. Just got another bottle of Volupte (Oscar de la Renta). I used to rock that back in the '90s. It's a bit different (reformulated, seems a bit more powdery for me). But, it's my go-to now!

First, can I say how lovely and relaxing your voice is. I absolutely love Black Orchid. It's a scent that has a permanent spot in my fall/winter rotation. I almost decluttered SJP Lovely after not using it for years. I gave it one more sniff and kept it. I find it relaxing. Another scent I adore is Bottega Veneta EDP.

I feel the same about Opium...I do own a bottle, but it is the scent my mother has always worn and she is quite regal...whereas I, not so much...but I do truly appreciate.

That was a beautiful video. I am actually putting together a massive Christmas basket for my mother with all of these vintage perfumes she’s absolutely loves. I loved this video!! I am going to try to get my nose on the ones I haven't tried. Such a great list of classics!!! I do love Samsara ,but to your point the original was the best!! Great choices Gabi! There’s only about 3 on this list I haven’t tried, even if I haven’t owned them all. Agree about the Britney Spears! For a celeb fragrance it’s quality! I remember smelling it on someone and having to ask what it was, she said ‘you won’t believe it, but it’s Britney Spears!’ So I bought it, my daughter also likes it. I think, for another list, you could include Dior Dune and possibly something from Narciso Rodriguez, who seems to be a modern classic.

Black Orchid is definitely a bold statement, it's love hate for sure but I adore it, luckily it works well on my skin but its not for everyone for sure. Gosh I hate Obsession it gives me such a headache, when it first came out everyone loved it and it was the must have perfume to own. Very entertaining video my darling 💗💗💗

I love Poison so much, I wore it far too young. I was choking out the halls of my high school 😂 I need to get my nose on more of these gems. Sophia Grojsman could be credited with giving an entire generation a signature scent. Love the scarf ♥️

Great list, I have or have had most on this list. Shalimar is my all time favourite, wear it all the time, just found a red bottle of Samsara for my Mums 70th now I want one for myself. I used to wear Obsession, Opium, Hypnotic Poison and have been considering getting again but am worried I won't like the reformulation as much. Probably get them, miss Obsession.

Paris brings back memories for me, I had a bottle that wasn't a spray bottle and I used to spill it every time I used it but it smelt so good, I thought I was so posh when I wore it 💖💖💖

The aldehydes in #5 are bracing at first but the drydown is that elegant rosy/abstract gorgeousness. I wore it exclusively for so many years. But I don’t think it’s as good anymore. I just got a vintage Samsara. I am a little bummed I can’t smell the sandalwood. It is transformed with the other ingredients.. It’s easy to get on ebay btw- mine is from 1990.

Have you ever tried Wish by Chopard? Would love to see what you think of it, even the reformulation is very strong! It's very inexpensive, but it packs a bigger punch than a lot of my more expensive fragrances.

Over the years I've owned most of the fragrances you've mentioned, but the one I miss most is YSL Paris. Is the reformulated version close to the original?

I would say Mary it's,actually very close. Lovely violet and rose, powdery snd so feminine. Its one that hasn't been butchered 😀💕
