FARM! I lived in Mt. Vernon 1976-1983. They had come and gone before I lived there. They are still the pride of Mt. Vernon. I used to jam with drummer Mike Young and have met their other members way back then. I still regularly talk to people who are friends with the guys, and it was a great suprise to see their album on your list. The record shows up at the local record store (located in the building that once housed Red Fenton's music store, the store that George Harrison bought his first Gretsch guitar from in 1962). They recently had a vg+ to M- copy that they sold to one of their friends for $30.

Great video as usual👍 On a personal note....went to a local record show yesterday and picked up one of my holy grails that I have been looking for now for almost 4 years.....the self titled original US pressing of a band called Glass Harp. This album and band were truly amazing and have never seen one in the wild! The best thing was I was getting ready to leave the show with my bag in hand and noticed a dealer tucked away in the corner that I had not seen....was already WELL over my budget for the day but bit the bullet and paid a pretty penny for this masterpiece! Keep up the great work with your channel👍

As an Alice Cooper collector living in London some of my holy grail records are the Record Store Day Live From The Astroturf, Alice Cooper singles & LP's from Good Records in Dallas. I have become friends with Christopher Todd Penn & met him in the UK a few times with Dennis Dunaway & Cindy Smith Dunaway. The Live From The Astroturf, Alice Cooper movie has had 3 screenings in the UK. I own 2 Willy Wonka split pink/white vinyl singles & 2 Willy Wonka split pink/white vinyl LP's. Also a Confetti LP as well as all the other single & LP pressings.

Great record collection! I'm always interested in learning about new rare Psych records which were in the past (for us collectors who started in the 70s and 80s, were not well known about). That said, I'm glad to have started collecting when I did, when I see the prices of many of the 60s albums that are now considered to be "grails". Still so much yet to discover though! The internet has made awareness of and availability of so many rare Psych records possible now! Even young folks collecting 80s stuff, are interested in really cool stuff now (often not realizing that those bands were not what most people were listening to at the time, which actually was mostly mediocre top 40 then).

Couldn't agree more. I have an easier time now getting great reissues of psyche that I could never own otherwise. Plus today's reissues get cleaned up with Sonic Solutions software and are actually listenable. I have pre 2000 psyche compilations on good labels (sundazed etc) that are unlistenable. Nuggets era compilations no longer cut it!

Greetings from the UK and thanks for a most interesting and enjoyable video. One of my all-time favourite bands is Little Feat and in my vinyl collection I have a couple of the Feat's bootlegs you might be familiar with - "Aurora Backseat" (live in 1973) and "Rampant Synchopatio" (live in 1976). Also have a Capitol Records triple vinyl set of three classic albums (STCR-288, open ended box cover): Steve Miller, "Sailor"; The Band, "Music From Big Pink"; Quicksilver Messenger Service, "QSM". One more to mention is the 3-LP box set, "Fillmore - The Last Days" (Columbia, 1972) - complete with the colour brochure, poster and repro concert ticket. (Not sure if this last one is all that rare). All excellent albums, though, and a few highlights from my collection.

My 2 boys love 60’s and 70’s music they will treasure them as well and for future generations! You should mention the 2 great Jeff Beck albums, Truth and Beck-Ola albums, both are some of the best rock music of the late 1960’s imo!

I have Led Zeppelin II on Angus label, I think it’s 1970 Singapore press, and just been recently added to Discogs as unofficial release. I found it in a bootfair and took to record shop once for a valuation but because it had deep scratch and skip on Whotta Lotta Love it was valued only £30. Another one is Miles Davis Kind Of Blue mono 1961 repress I found in a charity shop alongside few other mono 60’s represses like Thelonious Monk (vol 1+2) I think they were £5 a pop but now worth in hundred + pounds and they are in great condition. These finds are priceless for me because of a memory of a time and place where they were found.

Some cool albums you got there. I wasn’t able to see the Sabbath Masters of Reality album. Is it the very original first U K press that was the flip top box cover? As far as the poster goes. The US one is a four panel poster and the UK one is a larger six panel one. That being said, I’ve seen them both side by side and it looks they just enlarged the picture for the bigger poster. The resolution on the US copy is much better. I have about half of the albums you showed. I have the uncensored MC5 on the gold Elektra label with the John Sinclair liner notes. One grail that I thought you might mention was the Alice Cooper love it to death thumb cover on the Straight label. Also, a bit obvious, but Zeppelin 1 with turquoise letters or UK Electric Ladyland with the blue letters. Oh and apparently the leafhound album growers of mushrooms is going for some crazy numbers. #1 grail is Chet Baker, Chet. Finally purchased a nice stereo listening copy. Worth it, but like any album ever, would love a crazy clean mono. Maybe one day!

Awesome video! Unbelievable grails!!! I guess the “RL” is a given huh? Well, I would like an OG UK Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Then, if the list can go on a bit, I would like an OG “Bryter Layter”, UK 1st pressing of “Diary of a Madman”, The 1st pressing of the Doors in Mono pressed in LA, JiMi Hendrix “Electric Ladyland” UK first pressing with that interesting cover, Vangelis Blade Runner Soundtrack (Red vinyl), and then the “Bozzio Levin Stevens” by Bozzio Levin Stevens supergroup. My Dad just went to the Banana Records warehouse and store in Florida, and couldn’t find that last one. I just don’t ever see it. Hey Dillion, sent you an email. Just an FYI about a new release. Peace!

OMG Dillion...if you EVER, EVER, EVER decided to get rid of Love Supreme I need to be your first call. That is totally one of my top 10 grails along with that Stooges. So much great stuff here my friend! Great video. I just picked up an unofficial pressing of that Fraction this week. It truly is killer stuff. :)

I sold my early copy of Sabbath Vol.4 when I was young but I got a mint copy of the first press at a record shop called Swordfish Records in Birmingham, England a few years ago. The guy said ‘we see hundreds of these but never ever in this sort of condition’. Really glad I didn’t hesitate and it sounds AMAZING unlike the 3 later pressings I also still have; Nems being the worst.

My holy grail is Satori by Flower Travelin Band ! I finally found a repress that I could afford and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I found the name of the album ifrom your video "20 albums you have to hear". The story behind this quest is that I returned from Vietnam in Nov of 1971 with a reel to reel copy of an album I thought was called Suntory. I didn't know if that was the band name or the album. I got a copy of the tape from a fellow GI who went to Japan on R&R and brought it back. When I returned home I played the hell out of that tape and made several copies for friends. Everyone loved it. Somehow I lost my copy and have searched for the band or album for 50 years! Never knowing exactly what I was looking for. As soon as I saw you hold that copy up I knew. I did a quick KZfaq search and that was it. Thank you again from an old Flower Travelin' Band fan.

I have the "naked on motorcycles" version of this. Is Satori covers? I highly recommend a psych series from Germany called "peace love and poetry" on vinyl or CD. They have an Asian and Japanese editions that include smuggled out of SE Asia psyche rock that is incredible!

Like a lot of people I too sold the majority of my collection years ago now I spend a considerable amount of time trying to find my soul. I doubt I’ll ever find the original press of Mike Tay and the Scrotums Live at the YAP Club. It’s the pressing banned in the states with 2 pigs doing it on the back cover and Byron Vernon Feist on drums…the original drummer. Even been over to Europe in search of it to no avail but the journey continues. Love your listings 🎸
