For me the roblox community is quite toxic and the devs of roblox are out of touch with the community while the Minecraft developers and community are pretty awesome and the developers are cool dudes that made videos that are also cool.

Yeah. The only one of these I knew about beforehand was Mr. Resetti. He's featured in a trophy in Super Smash Bros Melee. Said he's for a future release and that he scolds you for pushing the Reset button. Now I realize the meaning of that. That game relies on actual time and players might try to alter the stuff they obtained in their save file that way.

My personal favorite cheater punishment is Eve Online's "Whack a Bot" event every year during GM week, where people caught botting are perma-banned, their ill-gotten gains (capital ships, supercarriers, titans, etc) dragged to the system of Yulai, and summarily executed by a horde of waiting players

Here’s one: if you have the godmode ring mod on in fallout 4, as soon as you enter power armor, all the damage you’ve received adds up and kills you instantly. You have to take of the ring to progress

Something I like about “Link’s Awakening” is that in the 2019 version, there are SIGNIFICANTLY less flashing than the ‘93 version. That’s pretty useful for those who are photosensitive. Edit: Can you do a video on Tryhardninja’s songs?

4:17 Hexen takes this a step further because if you use Heretic's ammo cheat, you lose all your weapons. It's less harsh though as there are multiple chances to get all your mana weapons again. Meanwhile, you have three strikes when typing Quicken in Hexen and if you insist on typing that cheat, you get less-than-instantly killed.

I actually confirmed turbo controllers do in fact work when being tortured by Ocelot. Maybe certain turbo controllers work, I don't know, but in the emulator, I binded the Circle button to the Turbo mode and it worked.

Earth 2150: The Lunar Project and Earth 2150: Lost Souls did this too. If you input the cheat codes from the original Earth 2150 game, it would flip the view screen and controls around making the game virtually unplayable until you restarted the game. Also, Earth 2150, probably one of the best RTS's ever made. Everything I wanted C&C Tiberium Sun to be :(

If that were to happen in ANY Pokemon game and get an item without paying, we'd be screwed. Only they use ice spells instead of lightning. Shopkeeper: "Nothing personal... And then the game calls cops to catch you for cheating in their game, and your options are: 1. Pay the game developers double the amount of the money they lost to you and you can play again provided you don't cheat 2. Refuse to pay the game developers and be sentenced to a prison sentence of not _up to,_ but *_at least,_* 10 years. 3. Go both ways, but the fine is quadrupled and the prison sentence is halved. For example, let's say the game lost $4M due to your cheating. You can either pay $8M to the game dev's and continue playing under the condition that you don't cheat again, or you can keep the money for yourself at the cost of having to serve life in prison for at least (not "up to") 10 years, or you can go both ways except you have to pay $16M *_AND_* serve life in prison but for at least (not up to) 5 years.

If I ever make a game, I’d have something interesting happen to cheaters, troublemakers or hackers. I’d have the quarks that make up the reality attack them viscously, making them bleed from every orifice and making them die over and over again, making the game virtually unplayable.

Fun fact: In The Stanley Parable, after the first time entering the serious room, keep entering the same hack and you’ll be teleported to the second Serious Room, and greeted with another lecture. Enter the cheat code another THIRD time will result in you being teleported to the third Serious Room, and again, greeted with a long speech. Entering more codes will only teleport you to the same room, but with no speeches

I find it amusing that he thinks the table is the reason why you're still cheating as it's "not serious enough". Also, you can physically find the notes he mentions while lecturing you in the Serious Room in the game. If I remember correctly, it's in the Blue Office that will sometimes spawn instead of the usual office.

What about the Bendy and the Ink Machine one? Basically if you hack into a place where you're not supposed to, you will find a Bendy cutout that says 'Wandering is a terrible sin' which is very creepy, and gives you a very creepy breathing noise. It's not much, but it counts, right?

Imagine if you hacked botw and it would activate a "beserk" state for all enemies; a permanent blood moon happens, keeping it at a kind of constant night. All enemies would converge on you no matter where you were (chickens, cows, goats included). The dogs would cower or bark at you because you were now seen as a bad person, no one talks to you or straight up aren't outside at all, doors are locked, spawn rates for enemies go crazy high. You can only run since your sheikah slate gets bricked, so no master cycle zero for you if you have it. Oh yeah and you can't pause either

If I'm right, in ACNH, Mr. Resetti quits the job of stopping cheaters and gets hired as an Emergency Services helper. As the game does auto save now, Mr Resetti has to get a new job as it's impossible to use the cheat of not saving. And a possible new method of cheat prevention and how to counteract it. Time traveling is an allowed method of grinding. However, go back in time with turnips (pretty much the game equivalent of stocks (stonks)) and they will rot. Just avoid time traveling back in time with turnips and you are good. This is only a speculation. It may be an error within the files time system when it occurs, a way to stop cheating with stonks, or just preprogrammed for some reason to avoid further issues. Sorry if I'm wrong.

This isn't a cheat, but it's punishment ether way. If you pirate Skullgirls on PC, and complete a character's story mode. You get a message from the game saying "What is the square root of a fish? Now I'm sad". One person that pirated the game didn't know that this was a trap by Lab Zero Games, so he took it to twitter, asking the Skullgirls twitter account that something was wrong, and they have gotten his just desserts by the said twitter account, responding with, and I quote from their reply "Oh That? It means you should probably buy the game instead of pirate it. o:)"

Getting punished ingame for cheating may be one thing. But in RL, playing entirely by society's rules marks you as a thoroughly indoctrinated marionette and as an easy target for everyone (And I do mean *everyone*), in that sense you get punished harder the more you're honest.

I thought it was astounding how people could code something like that. Now I realize it’s not actually that difficult. Simply tell the program that if any of the algorithms didn’t apply when they were supposed to, initiate another algorithm. This is the one recognizing the player as a cheater, and here you have free will.

I just wanna say THAT: Mr Resetti was the most terrifying thing ever when I was a kid playing animal crossing. Me and my friends dreaded that thing especially because we had to play the game in spanish since the game didnt have our language in it and then we had to type the things he said that WERE IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE and we never got it right and he'd just be even more mad lmao. ALSO most of the times we just turned the ds off without saving cause we were dumb kids who forgot to save. I HAD NIGHTMARES with that thing. Sometimes we would even pair up to go through Mr Resetti cause thats how SCARED of that thing we were!

I have a good one today, about autofire... One day I played "Persona 2: Eternal Punishment", and beat a quest for Mu Continent. As a reward for that, CPU gives as much money as much times player can press the X button (in PS One version). Having a spider reflexes, I hit a huge heap of cash. After that, I was politely asked if I used autofire option, or something...)

I love the fact that I was using autofire when I played MGS on my Gamecube since my R button was broken (when I pushed it down, the spring wouldn’t return it right away, so I used this so I could do CQC properly.) The minute Ocelot looked right at me and said “DONT EVEN USE AUTO-FIRE OR I’LL KNOW” I was like “...yes, sir.” And switched it off.

If you used the turbo button in MGS, nothing would happen (at least not in relation to the PlayStation 1 port). There was actually no way for the game to differentiate between human and machine. I must admit, the first time through the game I did as he told me.
