Also, Captain Planet referenced The Godfather in an episode where eco-villain Hoggish Greedly was his grandfather, “Don Porkaloin.” His line went, “I’ll make him a deal he can’t decline.”

When I say "literally under-rated", I mean it by their actual definitions and not the ones the young internet couldn't figure out. It was also parodied at least twice on Family Guy. *Stewie faking an orgasm to make dieting-Chris jealous, Brian: "I'll have what she's having". *Peter shoots Stewie in Lois Kills Stewie (irony, I know), "I'll have what she's having".

Even Duke Nukem's voice was based on Dirty Harry. Jon St. John gritted his teeth and sort of did a loose Dirty Harry impression as a test for his voice, and was told "I agree, this is the right direction, but take it down an octave", and St. John did, and thus one of the most iconic video game voices was born.

I recall a quick parody on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, in which Ryan Stiles imitates Carol Channing doing the famous Dirty Harry line, "Do you feel lucky, punk?"

In the 2007 Transformers film there is a scene where Ironhide spins his arm guns and aims them at Sam Witwicky before saying "you feeling lucky, punk?" Which is also another Dirty Harry reference

Even Pokemon used part of the training montage from Rocky. It was in Unova when Cilan's Pansage was helping Chili's Pansear. Pansear made the pose at the top of some stairs

Awesome list! A Top 20 Parodied Actors/Celebrities list might be fun :) First actors that come to mind are Bruce Lee, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Nixon but the list is endless :)

This line should have atleast been in honourable mentions - “My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die”. It's spoofed in HIMYM, TBBT, Ben10, etc.

I love Forrest Gump. But in keeping with my on-the-fly (albeit screwed up) sense of humor, when I got to the "...You never know what you're going to get," line, my immediate response was, "I do. You get a grown man talking with food stuffed in his mouth while engaging in conversation with random strangers about his choice of footwear." But, be that as it may, that doesn't mean I don't love the movie. Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors of all time, and I admire his talent, persona and approachability. You didn't mention that you started off with a parodied character who himself was doing a parody of someone else; in Jack Torrance's case, Ed Mcmahon. Seems a bit ironic to me.

I’d add Raymond Babbit from Rain Man. I’ve see several parodies of the toothpick scenes and characters speaking in that same monotonous cadence saying “definitely” a few too many times.

There was 1 episode of Inspector Gadget where they go into space and the AI controlling space station computer is H.A.R.O.L.D, i was only 4-5 at the time so no idea on 2001 a Space odyssey, also on Cap Planet the mad Scientist AI computer screen is named MAL
