Some of that footage was 1080p, right? I noticed because the mangohud bar was more to the left. This will greatly affect the performance if that's the case.

It’s an annoying bug that happens with my capture card sometimes that makes it think it’s a 1080p screen. Although the hud is incorrect I change the game to 800p in those situations so it is still 800p footage but the hud doesn’t resize on game resolution only screen resolution

Been spending a lot of time playing Elden Ring on my deck, HOWEVER it’s the only game I’ve played so far that causes my deck to crash on a regular basis. As in, at least once every 30 mins or so. However, the game looks amazing. Just tried to play BG3 and was disappointed with how terrible the graphics looked. It felt very unplayable for a verified game. Does it run? Sure. Can I tell what things are during combat? Not really.

Steam deck badly needs an upgraded model these games are not running well enough if we can’t play games at a locked 60 fps then there is definitely an issue here hopefully steam deck 2 or a pro model sorts this out

Realistically it will never be the fastest handheld, but it will be the best for the 99% of games.

People need to stop saying there is something wrong with the deck just because it’s not 60 fps in every game. There is more to experiencing games than being 60fps. 40fps feels closer to 60 than 30 and feels great. For demanding games 30 is fine also. When did people forget what gaming is.
