I love these old infomercial ads. It's so nostalgic and most of them were so useless. It's kinda unfortunate we don't see stuff like this on TV as often anymore. Not to mention the terrible acting also makes them more memorable at least for me.

OMG. And ad for "Shapermate" came on in the middle of the video. It was so over the top ridiculous I thought it was a continuation of the TV infomercial ads. It's EXACTTLY like those old TV ads

@@lateksipumppu Yup. If it wasn't profitable they would stop doing it. Just like the various email scams. I can't believe ANYONE actually falls for these "Nigerian" scams. "We've got millions of $$ we're just dying to send you, or get out of the country. If you help us illegally move the money, we'll give you $20 million. We just need your banking details and a small fee to pay taxes/paperwork/bribes" Somebody HAS to be falling for these things or they would just stop. P.T. Barnum sure was spot on.

I don't understand what is the difference between number 20 on this list which is the wearable towel and the Snuggie which is number 18 on this list as those look almost the same product, as they are towels you can wear as clothing.

The dog pootrap was actually pictured in one of the joke articles in Mad Magazine. It was a joke article about how to deal with doggie bombs: Everything from a wand that covers the poo with 2 part epoxy to seal it in , to a special set of shoes which act as a portable broom and dustpan, surrounding fire hydrants with a grill that the poo drops through, to THIS PRODUCT that fits over the dogs behind. Good luck trying to strap it on your dog.

Yep! One of my all time faves from the late Al Jaffee who was MAD's greatest talent; Fold In, Snappy Answers, plus practical* solutions like this one on Doo Diligence. Parking was also great Loved his signature details of dead chickens & single/lost dentures:)!

As an autistic woman with sensory issues, particularly sound and touch related, I might actually benefit from something that creates a barrier between my body and the shoulder strap on a seatbelt, to keep it from grazing my nipples. But a "tiddy bear" with the arms and legs and what-not would defeat the purpose for me because there would be all those things that could still make contact with the nipple area.

All I can think of with the uroclub is men leaving it “filled” in their bag 🤢 The South Park episode with the shake weight was so good 😂 getting that bus fare after you’re done is something to keep you motivated 😂

How could you forget the mighty Tommy Wu? His commercials were gold in the 1990s. He pedaled some sort of real estate flip-flopping scheme. When I was in University they were stoner required watching. Tommy wound up in jail for fraud. Good times.

I laughed so hard. I'm older and remember these and more. It was a special era when they played these at off hours and cable and streaming wasn't big. It also reflects that. American ideal that one great product idea can make you a millionaire . Some of these did sell and someone made $$$. But it wasn't lasting. Again very funny. You can't really learn golf sitting on a toilet, not proper form

The Snuggie gets less ridiculous when you find out that it was designed for wheelchair users. It's hard getting a coat on and off of a person in a wheelchair, and a regular blanket would get tangled in the wheels.

Flowbee was originally designed by Kirby vacuums. They have an attachment to cut hair and have it sucked away by the Kirby vacuum.

My younger brother and I used to watch informercials when we couldn't sleep late at night. Obviously, we never bought anything, we just found them funny. Like that one with the pan, I mean who looks at their cooking pan and decides to hit it with a hammer to see how strong it is.

in all honesty, the snuggie wasn't that absurd or far fetched. It was actually pretty good imo. i wrap myself up in blankets all the time and whenever i went over my grandparent's house, they had a snuggie and i used it all the time. So much so that they got me one for Christmas one year and i absolutely loved it.

Literally the first item 😂🤣🤣 when I had to go get x-rays at my local hospital they gave me a three arm hole gown that looked exactly like that and it was very uncomfortable 😳
