The beauty of Robin Williams' ad-lib about his wife farting was funny because it made Damon laugh. It was genius because he brought it right back to the script and the point the character was making about the charm of intimacy involving more than the good things we learn about our lovers. It would have been well worth the 10 or 20 seconds to keep the genius of that move.

It's a funny scene and all and it's funny that it made Damon break character. But this video was the "Top 20 scenes where actors couldn't keep a straight face". Counting them down from 20 to 1 implies that they are ranked in order by degree of funny. That scene was probably the least funny of all on the list.

Young Frankenstein deserves at least an honorable mention for the scene when Madeline Kahn's character arrives at the castle, and Marty Feldman repeatedly cracks up the cast. It took two days of filming for a 30-second bit, and director Mel Brooks finally decided to just use the best take he had and move on. You can still see Gene Wilder cracking up in the final cut.

What makes the Robin Williams monologue priceless, is that Matt Damon is not the only one losing it and laughing hard. If you watch closely, you'll notice that both cameramen are shaking, probably cause they can't help but laughing.

There was a scene from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix that featured Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson bursting out laughing when she said the line, "just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon..." According to David Yates, the director of the film, it wasn't in the script, but it was such a natural reaction that he decided to keep keep it in. Sometimes the best moments in TV/film are the unscripted moments

There is a nice scene in "The Big Bang Theory" where Simon Helberg / Howard gives an Al Pacino impression during a D&D session which makes the whole cast laugh, most notably Melissa Rauch / Bernadette and Kaley Cuoco / Penny who can even be seen looking at the crew behind the camera. It is not only nice because it is funny but because it again shows the broad range of talents that Helberg and his character Howard possess.
