What's remarkable about Christy Martin is that she actually dodged a lot of those shots. Very subtle head movements significantly limited the power of those punches. Definitely one of the best female boxers of all time.

Where's Ali? "Say my name! Say my name!" That will always be the greatest showboating moment in boxing
@hanoman784 жыл бұрын
Actually he wasn't really showboating, ali was pissed off because Ernie Terrel kept calling him by his slave name Casius Clay.. And he hated it.. So instead of finnishing Terrel off, ali put on a brutal punishment and would stop if terrel call him by his new found name, ALI.. that's why he kept shouting WHATS MY NAME UNCLE TOM? WHATS MY NAME? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eJx0mMmEy9e-ZKs.html
@carami64424 жыл бұрын
Yeah and what does 'show boating' mean
@hanoman784 жыл бұрын
@@carami6442 showboating is showing unrespecting amd sometimes underestimating moves to opponents.. Ali was actually demanding respect and punishing terrel.. And i think perhaps thats why its not here on the vid..

*disrespect. The definition of showboating is "the action or practice of showing off". Ali was very much showing off that he could not only beat Emil but doit handily while yelling at him to call him by his preferred name

I know I am late but I wanna thank you for admitting(at the time you recorded this) you are an mma casual fan. There is nothing wrong with it, we all start out as casual fans of anything, but one of the most annoying things is when people don't know much about any subject but they try to pass themselves off as analysts and like what they say is fact. It was very refreshing. Thank you for that AND for your amazing videos. Love the channel and love your narrations. Keep up the AMAZING work.

Prince Naseem is still the most exciting boxer I've ever seen and definitely one of the best ever, the buzz around him when I was a kid in the 90s was insane. I see him as similar to Tyson, their styles meant they were never going to have long careers and had to be in top condition physically and mentally to pull it off but when they were in shape they were unstoppable, head and shoulders above everyone else.
@beverlypatama8148 Жыл бұрын
Naseem was so overrated lol.. He got badly exposed vs Marco Antonio Barrera... I'm not sure he even fought again after that whooping!
@syedmurtaza3772 Жыл бұрын
@@beverlypatama8148 This is where you simply have no idea what you're talking about. Naseem had already broken his hands 5 times throughout his career before having fought Barerra and was suffering from chronic hand pain which made him to take pain killers and all sorts of injections for his hands. This was also the reason why he was medically forced to retire at 28. Secondly, Naz was 7 months out of training and had gained a huge amount of weight and he drained himself to make the weight when he had taken the fight. If Naz was even 50% as fit as he was prior to the Barerra fight, he would've DESTROYED Barerra. Lol.

Naz actually did fight after Barerra, he fought a guy called Manuel Calvo I think in attempts to make a comeback and it was clear after that fight his health was deteriorating.
