Usually when a brand has a significant price hike or start pumping out a lot more product ranges than usual, it is to increase the value of the company in order to sell for more. So the price hike should have been the biggest public sign he was selling the brand. The man has good taste and knows what people want, interested to see what direction new releases across his brands will look like without his vision.

There are about 3 manufacturers of cosmetic brands in the US. Estée Lauder manufactures Tom Ford as well as many other high end brands. Several members of my family work at the plant in PA and I have benefitted from their Christmas presents for years!

Surprised not to see Santal blush! It was the first fragrance that made me fall in love with the brand. Santal, noir de noir, white suede, cafe rose, and velvet orchid are my top 5

Totally agree with you on Noir Anthracite, it's amazing! I been lucky and got a 100 ml bottle. Love Black Orchid, Tuscan Leather, Oud Wood and my absolute favorite is Tobacco Oud, can't get enough of it! I've been looking for a bottle of the intense version but it's just too expensive! I really want to try Cherry Smoke, will be a blind buy, I really like cherry fragrances. For what I understand the fragrances would stay the same with Estee Lauder or at least I hope, Tom Ford Fragrances are among my favorites of all time. Thanks for the list Sebastian!!!

I was lucky to get TOBACCO OUD, NOIR DE NOIR, NOIR, NOIR EXTREME, TOBACCO VANILLE AND TOBACCO OUD from a local reseller! Tobacco oud, Tobacco Vanille, Noir De Noir and Noir Extreme have turned out to be one of the most beautiful smells I've ever put my nose on in my entire fragrance journey! Sad that some of the Tom Ford fragrances are discontinued while the rest are overpriced! Thanks Sebastien for the update on Tom Ford.

Neroli Portofino was my first Tom Ford, and I still enjoy it. My first time trying out a fragrance that wasn't "for women" and it was an eye opener to being much more flexible with my fragrance choices!

Out of the non-private blends, TF Noir is so amazing. It was my husbands signature scent when we first started dating. I knew it was a good sign seeing that he had good taste in fragrance 😉 Such a shame it’s discontinued.

Tom Ford Sahara Noir. I bought it back in 2013 but I think it is discontinued now maybe? I absolutely love it! It looks like the ribbed gold bottle that you showed for Black Orchid Parfum. I have no idea why they call it 'Sahara' though because it smells like Christmas Incense to me. There is nothing 'Sahara Desert' about it. I don't want to waste it so I usually only wear it once or twice a year, plus sometimes I will spray the tissue paper for special gifts that I might give at Christmas. The notes listed for it over on Frangratica are pretty accurate.

I have not sampled everything from TF, I usually sniff a couple when I pass by Sephora. Recently I succumbed to Rose Prick (not full retail price, heck no!), agree with you on this line being mass market. I'm more of Noir de Noir, Ombré Leather, Oud Wood and Vanille Fatale, and the sadly discontinued-never-to-be-found Shanghai Lily (any recommendations for a similar fragrance?) kinda girl.

Please add Gabby’s collaboration with Navitus “Chocolate Queen” perfume as one of the BEST chocolate perfumes on the market!!! I recently received my perfume bottle and was blown away. Queen Chocolate has very good sillage and longevity!! This perfume is well blended and simply beautiful!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️When you can, please get your nose on this beautiful perfume!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have a bunch of Tom fords. I really enjoy oud wood though for me it’s a bit fleeting. I own and love lavender extreme which at first felt like a cash grab version of Caron pour Un homme but it actually surprised me and it’s long wearing which is a plus. I’m surprised you never cared for Fougere Dargent. For me it’s a nice spicy wear come winter.

My Tom Ford counter person gave 30ml of Tobacco Oud, Plum Japonais and Shanghai Lily right after they were all discontinued. I love them all. My wife hates the Tobacco Oud.

@@khalidnoor7735 Yes, I consider F'ing Fabulous sort of a sartorial, "the walk-in closet of a monarch" type scent profile. I like Tobacco Vanille and it has grown on me. I used to think the vanilla was too prominent relative to the tobacco.

I recall TF collaborated with EL years ago to elevate Youth Dew. The result was Youth Dew Amber Nude. It was beautiful and deep. It was also affordable for me, and I miss it. Perhaps there may be something interesting from this convergence!

I just received my order of velvet orchid. Tom Ford creates fairly unique scents, but damn they are pricey.

OMG Sebastian. I was looking at a few Tom Ford gift sets yesterday, Black Friday, and all I could think was, well, I'm glad I got mine when I did. Penhaligons and others as well. BTW, thanks for Rakuten last year. I killed it this and last year. Beau de Jour is excellent. Vert de Bois is very nice also. I like the original Ombre Leather also. I picked up the parfum last year, wish I had gotten the original. I did sample Ombre 16, and I liked it. I think it's more toward the parfum, more violet if I remember. Heeley had leather that they discontinued. The 16, abd parfum kinda were in the same ballpark. The original has more dirt on its leather chaps so to speak. Cuir Pleine Fleur is the Heeley I am referring to.

Agree with you that FF and Lost Cherry are just okay on their own. But have you tried layering them yet? I appreciate them as a combo much more than on their own.

Tobacco Oud is not discontinued. I brought a bottle from the Tom Ford website ( 🇬🇧 ) last month.

The best discontinued Tom Ford fragrance is Moss Breches. Love it so much and hopefully there will be a rerelease!!

Somehow still have a bottle of Italian Cypress. It was the first Tom Ford fragrance I ever purchased and I’ve been using it sparingly for years just to have it around.

My favourite Tom Ford is Oud Fleur, I also like Champaca Absolute and Noir de Noir. Sadly, they are getting too expensive for me.

electric cherry should be the third cherry fragrance. Cherry Smoke I heard will be coming February. They are also discontinuing Lavender Extreme, Champaca Absolute and Neroli portifino Forte.

I used to love Tom Ford and I have several fragrances from this house. As of lately, I don’t think they’ve come up with anything worth buying, not only because they’re so damn expensive and IMO there’s nothing new about them. I own Oud Wood, Ombré Leather EDP, Gray Vertiver, Fougere D’ Argent, Soleil Neige, Noir Extreme, Tobacco Vanille, Beau De Jour and Mandarino di Amalfi.

they are gonna reformulate about everything, keep the prices up and bring down the performance. estee lauder did just that with thiery mugler.
