@@Typical_Dogger thanks bro, but should divide dueling and diuelist Dueling is combat knowledge, skill, training, talent But to be really outstanding duelist you should also have great force power, physical strength, and other characteristics like speed, agility etc In dueling Dooku > Vader But Vader is better duelist

@@TheGoat-xb8uj If it's Anakin I'd have to take him top 8. Darth Vader was actually limited in his power level by the suit and how Darth Sidious had it put on him. Luke never had that problem and he continued getting stronger. I know if George Lucas were doing it and had stayed by the production he would've made sure Luke would actually leave that damn rock and go as a diversion to stop Kylo Ren. Even then he'd still be holding back while Ren goes all out. He, George, said that what he was going to do was have it be Kylo's redemption story, where he kills his father and turns fully to the dark, then once he's fought his master and uncle Luke Skywalker, in the sequel, he realizes the mistakes he's made and he then, realizing the darkness and ugliness that Rey has now turned to and fully invited in to her, this leads into a confrontation with Luke Skywalker. They would no doubt have a world breaking fight. Then, after that, the third one, which Lucas said was going to be Kylo, now back to being Ben Solo, go and help Finn, who he would become good friends and allied with, and he'd help his mother, Leia, stop the now-turned darkside Rey along with Sidious from destroying the world. That's a much cleaner and cooler way to get Luke to show his strength.

@RealDutchBear Not really, not in dueling, Zannah won using Force Tendrils and both Plagueis and Sidious killed their respective masters through cunning and deceit, not direct confrontation.

@RealDutchBear Yoda is not even top 5 ever, not even top 3 in his own era (Sidious, Mace and Plo Koon were better). Rule of 2 era Sith will always have an edge over Jedi swordsmanship, because they imply many techniques and forms the Jedi don't train and have no idea how to defend against. Also, Plagueis a great duelist? According to whom? Tenebrous? Venamis? Sidious? Plagueis didn't really duel that much to be praised that much, Sidious had a hard time beating goddamn Yoda, although he was tired due to fighting Mace but, still, if you think about it, prequels era had not that many prodigies in the way of the saber.

@RealDutchBear Plo Koon won Yoda, it's stated many times that he was probably the best duelist of the order alongside with Mace but Mace had advantage over Sidious due to Vaapad being powered by the opponent's use of the Dark Side.

Every Sith on the Banite lineage was a master of all classic 7 forms. What really defines a duelist is their W/L score, in which, funnily enough only 4 people in Legends are known to have never lost: Malgus, Tulak Hord, Obi Wan and Mace Windu

Luke will always stay the best as the strongest duelist out there. He's stronger than his father, his fighting style is just too smooth, no aggression, and he can take out multiple opponents at a single time.

For those who don't know Luke created his own style of lightsaber combat by taking a reinforced style of Form 1 Form 3 Form 4 Form 5 and Form 6 and blending them together Form 5 was actually the foundation or center of the style he created because like all Skywalker's he's gonna have the Form 5

@RealDutchBear please dip your toe into the old republic a little and you will see how powerful they truly are. the Jedi in the prequels got killed by weak clones during order 66 and they weren't even trained to take on Sith or Jedi. that fact alone proves the Jedi were not stronger. then there is the Sith they are a little tricky with them they didn't really show alot of weaknesses but I do know that they didn't have nearly have as much training and knowledge in the dark side of the force like their ancient counterparts. only one that would even stand a chance is Palpatine. I am sorry but Lore can be wrong at times. like Palpatine being stated the most powerful Sith for example. that is wrong cause Vitiate scales above him, slightly if its Legends Sidious.

@@smajdalf3928 Darth Vader yeah. He should be higher. Higher than Yoda definitely and tied with Luke. Darth Vader mastered ALL lightsaber forms. Not just one of them. He also created his own lightsaber style that was so unorthodox than every Jedi he came across couldn't match it. He had the strength of a droid with the dueling skills of somebody like Yoda.

@@OmniSphinx Nice, keep repeating the same thing with no source. In Bane 's time the Jedi were much better duelists compare to prequels era, the best Jedi in that time could end Obi. Also Obi never faced more than one lightsaber user at time, Bane kept up with 4.

Anakin stomped him in 12 seconds and Obi Wan stalemated and way stronger version of Anakin. There's no argument for Dooku being a better duelist than either of them.

@@Noan947 again... Dooku= 80 years old... Anakin= 24 at best... there's really no comparison, and pffffft Obi wan? Better than Dooku?? When xD? In ROTS?? oh yeah, he got ragdolled into a bridge and incapacitated... Anakin didn't beat him in "12 seconds" it took him a lot, he even had to use the dark side to amp himself so he could make his strikes heavier, so Dooku had to go switch to defensive, if you watched Clone Wars, you would know Dooku faced those 2 a lot of times and bested them constantly, even when Anakin was already reaching his prime... Obi Wan never stalemated him lol xD, there's a reason why Makashi is the direct counter to Soresu, Obi Wan can never defeat an opponent who doesn't use stamina relentlessly... Dooku focuses on cunning in combat, hence why Obi Wan can't use the style properly, I haven't seen a single instance of Obi Wan being close to besting Dooku, so yeah there are a LOOOOOOOOT of arguments to prove he is better than most versions of them, where Anakin has to be in his prime, Vader or Full Potential to beat Dooku, otherwise both are toast

@@Noan947 the only reason why you think Obi Wan "stalemated" Anakin, was due to the force being by Obi Wan's side... which isn't a "dueling" prowess, Obi Wan was also his master, therefore knew his moves better than anyone... his style, Soresu is the perfect counter for Anakin's form Djem So, which is a very aggressive style, so that's the only reason why Obi Wan could "stalemate" Anakin for so long, not because he was a better duelist than Dooku, Obi Wan was also not 80 years old by that time, hell... if you even watch the combat closely, you can see Anakin always had the upper hand against Obi Wan, Obi Wan had to stay on the defensive side always, proving my point that Soresu is the only reason why he stepped out of that combat, then using Anakin's arrogance to force him to jump and mimic the same move he used against Maul, again... a move Obi Wan knew all too well... so yeah, like that there are a lot of arguments, sorry lad

@@ragingwolf2112 Tough shit that Dooku is old, Anakin is still better. Anakin recived a boost after Dooku incapacitated Obi Wan, that's why I say he stomped him. Obi Wan also recived a massive boost during Mustafar which is why I say he's above Dooku. Fuck of with the form counters shit. It's never once stated in all of EU to have an effect on fights, it's not even implied. Obi Wan has also showed many times that he can beat his opponents without them using all their stamina. His fight with Krayt is a great example of this.

@RealDutchBear the old republic Jedi and Sith clearly scales above most of the modern Jedi and Sith. what ever lore you are listening too makes no sense, that would mean Maul, Dooku, Obi-Wan and all of the other Jedi that got killed by clones could defeat Malgus, Tulak Hord, Revan and Vitiate which would never happen. and I'm pretty sure whatever lore it was was stated before SWTOR and KOTOR. just keep in mind if a lore was made before KOTOR and SWTOR it can be wrong.
