Wait a sec. I thought holding your breath increases a blackout chance. Either way, having a friend smash you in the head increases your blackout probability. Can we not just enjoy a ride without going to sleep for sections of it?

I had brain damage earlier on in life when binge riding tons and tons of intense and some rough coasters, now with really intense rides I almost always black out completely, and I get a headache on anything too rough or intense. I was so scared going on Intimidator 305 since I knew it was intense, but it was far more intense than I was expecting. I greyed out on the infamous first turn, then after a bit more of intense turns, I was completely unconscious until the last turn to the brake run. Woke up with a bruised arm, splitting headache, and was extremely dazed and just felt weird overall. Never riding that coaster ever again. Only ride I have ridden that genuinely feels like it is trying to kill you. I prefer to liken the ride experience to that of being strapped onto a rocket.

In the military we are taught to do things such as hold breath; bare down; pump calves.. to help sustain proper blood circulation to brain; causing lack of oxygen (blood carries oxygen & failure for the body to get adequate blood supply to brain causes “grey out”). That’s why we compensate in those ways. And it’s much easier for this to happen if your dehydrated; have low blood sugar (maybe skipped some meals at park that day); low blood pressure (from not drinking water and dehydrated). It’s also a normal reaction to the g’s placed on the body at certain point in some rides; less and less as new rides software can mostly compensate prior to installation for this so they rarely install a ride with too much of a “high grey” out % as the GP doesn’t ride these rides as often.

You put el toro at number 2 because you rode it in the front row, the last time I rode it, it was really bumpy, and I thought my neck was going to crack from the first drop. I recommend a rmc treatment on this ride.

Same with me. I've ridden both Lightning Rod and Iron Rattler and I prefer IR mainly because the restraints didn't kill my thighs like LR did even though the latter has a more superior layout. Experience and reridability is how I rank coasters on my list even though Taylor prefers LR.

+HURRICANE83 Flights to Cleveland from my area are very expensive and I haven't had the time. Also, I wanted to wait until Steel Vengeance opens next year to visit for the first time.

Flights to anywhere other then Vegas from where i live are typically over $400. Ive managed to hit CP. I have had to resort to saving money other ways. heres some tips: 1. Going solo is expensive. try to find people to go with. Splitting hotel and gas costs helps a ton. (if you need someone, feel free to hit me up) 2. Sign up for Choice privileges. Choice hotels has locations all over the place. using choice privileges will guarantee you the lowest price on the room, as well as give you points that you can put towards free nights. 3. Water cups are free at (almost) all parks. dont spend money on soda and other drinks. drink water, its good for you, and it costs nothing. 4. If renting a car, NO EXTRAS. no, you don't need the added insurance, most credit cards will cover any issues. no you don't need GPS, google maps works just as good. 5. Visit parks on week days. they are less busy, and you will not need the parks line skip pass. also research the capacity of the rides. hit low capacity rides first or last. 6. look at prices for nearby airports. if its a extra 3 to 4 hours drive, it might be worth the savings.

Theme Park Crazy hop on I90 W and drive. I live in Upstate NY, near Syracuse and cedar point is like 5 hours from me. Can't be more than 8ish for you, I'm guessing. Totally worth it.

tbh the only British coasters that'd probably even get close to any of the lists are all at Alton Towers like... probably The Smiler, Oblivion, Galactica (Air), maybe Nemesis or Wicker Man at a push... really doubt stuff like Stealth, The Swarm, Nemesis Inferno and Saw at Thorpe Park would even come close... the other British parks are largely aimed at really young kids.

Christian Moss the big one is an ancient rattler that hurts to ride not to mention being in a dump of a park in the trashiest place in the country stuck that's still in the 80s. Blackpool Pleasure Beach has one thing it prides itself on and it's not even maintained properly.

Josh C. Aw i love shockwave. I havent been on it (or any coaster, really) for like 7 years, though. It was one of my favorites along with judge Roy scream and a few others. I prefer smaller coasters that are more family friendly. I'm not into the titan or other more intense rides.

Also, I'm really surprised Texas giant wasn't on his list of worst coasters haha Edit: oh it looks like they re-tracked it. When I rode it last, it was still the original wooden track. It was super rough haha

It’s very good, the launches are incredible and it’s a family coaster but possibly the best in the world. It’s slow but feels like it’s 120 mph, it’s very intense and thrilling.

Kari Kane as someone that has been to both: what makes MM worse is that the park itself is... Ugly and a bit run down. And it's recycles many of it's designs from other Six Flags, because a chain is gonna be a chain. CP is really beautiful and has more unique design choices that feel custom to the landscape.
