@@tnguyen403 try to roamed MAKATI CBD, ORTIGAS CENTER, BGC, EASTWOOD CITY, ARANETA CBD, FILINVEST CITY, VERTIS NORTH, MALATE DISTRICT, BINONDO DISTRICT and some parts of MANILA. In the South portion CEBU IT PARK and BUSINESS PARK and some areas throughout Metro Cebu. to prove that Philippines is rapidly growing.

If only Japan, Indonesia and Philippines never challenged by earthquake they can be on top. Unluckily these countries experiences a lot of strong earthquakes due to they are on top of Pacific Ring of Fire.

The calculation is not based on how many skyscrapers built but the number of floor per capita. That's why countries like Brazil, Singapore and European are faraway behind due to lack of supertalls.

Corruption is the one who's holding Philippine economy, my mom is working overseas and I'm following her steps too cuz the labor in here is really cheap. But our economy is slowly getting better and I hope it keeps that way so that no one needs to work abroad to earn their worth.

I think its count the overall building for entire country which qualify to call as skyscraper.. Some country like philipines and thailand have more building build in capital city, but less in other states or other area.

Hong Kong alone has more than 500 skyscrapers (taller than 150m). It is quite impressive for this amount of skyscrapers to fit in a tiny land I would say.

I find that people here are surprised that some countries that they think are poor have skyscrapers. Maybe search more because some countries have biased media. They only show the bad image of the country; that this country is very poor, dirty, etc. for their own agenda. But when you look at it, they have these beautiful buildings and scenery. One of the examples is the Philippines. It was long known for its polluted rivers and slum communities. That is why we were surprised to see that they have so many skyscrapers. In fact, most of the Filipinos didn't even know that their country was developing. So I want to say that don't judge them by just watching the news because the news today will show only what they want to show.

@@snowstorm0914 The Philippines' development plan uses the modern type of development that prioritizes high-rise buildings for urbanization to eliminate the continued loss of agricultural lands and forest sites in the country, which is very good for the environment. They are working to build more walkable communities and cities to help lessen the pollution emitted by cars because of climate change because the country is one of the most affected by it. Even the government's housing projects are planned to be high-rise buildings. Yes, the country is poor today, but in 10-20 years, it might change; in fact, they are now 1-2 years away from becoming an upper middle-income economy.

Buat orang² Indonesia di kota mana saja tidak usah bangga dengan gedung tinggi, kedepannya tidak perlu berlomba di urutan berapa, lahan tanah masih cukup, bangunan di buat lebar saja atau setidaknya 5 lantai saja dan kesan mewah lebih baik daripada menjulang tinggi. Itu gedung di buat tinggi khusus kota² atau negara kecil jadi gedungnya sampe langit buat tampung orang tinggal atau pegawai. Dan secanggih atau sekuat apapun, gempa itu ada saatnya begitu kuat kita tidak pernah tahu, walaupun tidak dapat menghindar dari musibah setidaknya tidak mati konyol di dalam gedung di lantai 2000 yang akhirnya rata menjadi 200M hehehe. Memanglah manusia yang membinasakan diri sendiri pada akhirnya. Mudah²an tidak ikut²an trend gedung tinggi😁✌

The gap is too wide. China with 3k ++ and USA with 1k ++ skyscrapers. While both Korea and Malaysia do only have 300 ++ each. It's still far away and needs a long long time to build more skyscrapers for that many to get close with those China and USA.

One reason is that joint venture projects between Malaysia and China, including the Iskandria Johor project and Malaysia's new metropolis, have not yet been completed.
