10:50 The new viewing deck is worlds better than the old one. It's much larger, not just in overall size but they've optimized the amount of front railing space so more people can enjoy an unobstructed view. Tip- Marble Canyon is an awesome easy level hike, combine it with another easy hike at Johnston Canyon for a nice contrast of hiking above the canyon vs near the bottom of it. The only problem with the Canadian Rockies is that after you go you're spoiled and compare everything to it.

It doesn't matter where it is when you look at the mountains and lakes of western Alberta and BC. It's amazing. Waterfall's are so nice to view as well as the color of the lakes. Memories are stored and this is great food for the soul. When you see the land devoid of traffic like it is in the cities where tempers flare in stop and go traffic it actually gives me a sense of peace and tranquility. The mind is programmable and to me this is the best kind of programming available. In a world of evils such as war, evil illicit drugs, murder and crime it's heart warming to view these beautiful lands.

Oh Canada & Canadian Rockies, how very beautiful and amazing you are. In these times of serious trouble across much of Mother earth, watching you, just lifts my spirits and makes my heart sing. Mother Nature, always has the power to do this to us. Actually, watching this video has just reminded me, about the numerous Indigenous populations across Canada, their long and rich history there & how incredibly blessed, fortunate and lucky they were, to have roamed/walked these parts of the earth and got to call it their home. To think that they've called this global region home, for approx 14,000 yrs, just blows my mind!! Much love and RESPECT sent their way. Their lives weren't easy, yet, they survived. This upload is awesome and i love the music too. Thank you for sharing and my best wishes to all. Peace

Nice video. You've definitely hit some highlights. As you noted, you can stop at any trailhead, start hiking, and not be disappointed. Some other possibilities if you're considering a return trip, assuming you prefer day hikes. -It doesn't seem that you have yet gone much into the Kananaskis, south of Canmore. Really accessible with a lot of day hikes ranging from just a few miles to 15 miles, out and back. -Probably the most iconic mountain is Mt. Robson, which is not far from Jasper. But you can make a long day hike out of it, up to 30 miles return if you don't want to camp and you can always turn around before that. You go through an area called Valley of a Thousand Falls; The name is an exaggeration, but it gives you the idea. If you're lucky enough to have the weather cooperate, and you have the legs to hike up to Berg Lake, the view of the glaciers cascading down the face of the mountain into the lake is spectacular. -I think you liked Sentinel Pass. Come at it from the other side (Paradise Valley). No tourists. And it's magic when you crest the pass and those mountains just appear before you. -If you're interested in an overnight hike, definitely do Mt. Assiniboine, another iconic mountain. It's about 19 miles in to the campsite from the shortest trailhead. You can also use take the helicopter from that shortest trailhead to get in and walk out the next day, or some days later. -The Selkirk Mountains on the other side of the Rocky Mountain trench also are worth a visit if you want to expand your vistas.

Great video. And a great selection of some of the best places in the Canadian Rockies. I've done all but one, but also done almost all the major backpacking routes as day hikes and I would sure recommend those (Skyline, Berg Lake, Mount Assiniboine, Yoho Valley, Rockwall, etc). I also went this January and seeing everything frozen was incredible. One other note of clarification as a hydrologist. Rock flour is what's ground off by glaciers. The different water colours are from different minerals.

Great pack packing routes, I think the Rockwall (which has Flow Lake at one end) is my favourite hike in the Rockies. I would also add the Brazeau Loop and Tonquin Valley are also outstanding backpacking routes. Although Tonquin Valley does have a lot of mud due to the horses from the outfitters at the lodge, but once you explore off the main trail it is beautiful.

Great video and photography. I just returned from a short 4 day visit to Banff. We did about 6 or so of the sites/hikes mentioned here. The wildfire smoke rolled in on the last day which ruined some of the scenery but definitely the most scenic place I’ve ever visited. This was after a week in Glacier NP in US. I did make a list of about a dozen hikes I would like to do in Canadian Rockies now and in future and it’s nice to see they are in your list. You mentioned a few places I didn’t know about. This will definitely influence my plans for the next visit. We did Stanley Glacier trail in Kootenay NP on the last day. It was pretty nice too even with the smoky atmosphere. Nice meadows, streams, waterfalls and peaks on the way to the base of the glacier. Lake Louise unfortunately is becoming less accessible with ever growing crowds. The only somewhat easy access is using Roam bus from Banff since park-and-ride shuttle tickets are becoming impossible to reserve. By the time I arrived there it was already afternoon. I wanted to do the Big Beehive trail but it was was too late in the day. The trails around Moraine lake now require even more planning since the last Moraine shuttle leaves at 6:00 pm (you can’t drive there anymore).

Kevin, you're such a sweetheart! You come across as a really appreciative and nice guy. You have an obvious love and respect of Mother Nature & this comes across within your videos. I've travelled the world & i;ve seen some pretty spectacular global regions & this region, is one of my favourites. I so wish to go back some day soon and this time, with my beloved husband. I think that'd be damn awesome & totally memorable! I've subscribed to your channel and intend to follow your journeys. You're bringing us such wonderful content, so it's much appreciated. Hey Ryan, i hope you're well. No offence intended here, but we all possess the right to our personal preferences. That's totally fine dude. We can't push the "force" button upon others, just because we do not agree with another's comments/opinions. To do so is purely....arrogant. NE is obviously stunning (yes, i've visited back in 2009), but it's NOT the ONLY stunning global region bro. May i ask you.....Have you travelled "outside" of your homeland? If not & if you're ever able, i'd strongly encourage you and anyone to do so. Our ENTIRE world is totally and utterly amazing!! So much to experience, see and do. For eg: I visited incredible Nepal & Pakistan (possessing most of the world's tallest mountains). K2, Hunza Valley, Fairy Meadows & Azad Kashmir in Pakistan, to this day....leave me totally speechless. To name just a few, please watch American vloggers, Peter Santenello's & Mark Wein's Hunza Valley videos and you'll see what i mean. Amazing doesn't even come close. Many Americans, Europeans/Westerners have visited and are still visiting with numbers growing annually, bec the scenery, the large intact glaciers and the plentiful snow are so prevalent, that it's growing in it's global popularity. Also because climate change is slowly destroying/eradicating many global glaciers, ice fields, etc;. And no, the countries i;ve mentioned, are definitely not as dangerous as many in the US may falsely believe. The media has done a superb job of scaring everyone away & ONLY showcasing the negative and "never" the positives, of which there are many. Actually, the Pakistani and Nepalese people are so warm, friendly, engaging and utterly hospitable. They'd give you the shirt off their back, their last penny & their hearts, if they could! This becomes very obvious, when you're watching the many Westerners vlogs from there. Cheers and Peace.

After watching this fine video I read the comments and after reading your comment I thought "did we watch the same video?" With paper and pen in hand I reviewed and counted that 18 of the walks etc. were in Alberta and 7 were in BC. The only mention of BC was in reference to Natural Bridge "near Field BC" so that visitors from afar didn't have to look for a grassy place.
