Safety tip trailer jack bolts go as close to trailer tong beam . The bolts provided additional twist support from front to back motion. Just in case you may not know.

Ratchet straps bolted on are nice for fresh water. I am on saltwater. Those would rust in a couple of months.

Great video! I have everything but the transom saver. I have a manual tilt motor like yours. You leave the outboard unlocked while trailer since the TS is bolted to the trailer? Just making sure I understand this correctly before I have a failure on my end lol.

Yes, that's correct! The motor rests on the transom saver and any bouncing is absorbed by the trailer instead of your motor mount/transom.

How do you keep your outboard from turning while towing using the transom saver?

So I've fought with this for a while with my 9.9. One thing I found to help was clean the clamp plate with solvent to make sure there was no grease letting it slip. I think you can adjust how tightly it clamps but the only thing I found to work at all was just making sure it was completely centered before trailing and that the rotation clamp is fully engaged and clean. There is no magic fix for this but I will say if you have the bottom strapped tightly to the transom saver it should never turn more than a small amount.
