First of all what your skin type need to know you skin type my is combination which mean dry and oily. Different oily, dry , normal, combination, or sensitive prone to ance which mean skin is sensitive. Find out first how find out wash you face at night with a cleanser then don’t put anything on wake up in morning see how you skin react and look if you see your oily or dry or both or looks normal or sensitive like breakout. Once you know buy products that your skin type only start off with face wash and cream with spf if you don’t find cream with spf but cream and sunblock cream separate. Make sure your not buying products that are cheap, drug store products, and products that helping you get know the product like it ingredients, it information what is good for. Basically study as much you can if you don’t study it going get hard for you know what skincare is and basically everything about it👍🙂

I have a question. Have any red patches popped up on your skin? You may just be itchy because your skin is dry, but it almost sounds like when I'm about to have an eczema flare. Otherwise, if your skin is this dry, you don't really need to figure out what skin type you have because it sounds like it has to be dry if you are peeling. My first advice would be to either get an oil cleanser to use before your regular cleanser just to make sure you are getting off all the sunscreen, because they can dry out your skin if it's not all coming off. If you don't want to get an oil cleanser, you can use your regular cleanser twice, and it should work. Also, which CeraVe cleanser are you using? There's a few, so I just wanted to see which one. (Some of them are better suited for oily skin, and miiiiight be drying you out.) I'd also like to know which CeraVe moisturizer you are using. Some of them are too light for dry skin. (actually, all of them are too light unless it's like the big bottles or the tub ones.) The third thing I'd like to recommend is a barrier balm product. They are thicker and super calming, and should be able to really help with that itchiness and dryness. La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume is a good one, then there is CeraVe healing ointment, or Purito Dermide barrier balm is also good. EDIT: if your skin is still dry after trying this, or if you really want a quick fix, you can go ahead and try it, but a hydrating toner has done wonders for my dry skin too. The Tiam Vita B5 toner is my absolute favorite, (and it's extremely cheap, atleast where I live. It's available on Amazon.) but if you can't get it, CeraVe also has a hydrating toner that's pretty good.
