Another great review. I agree with your ordering of the 3, and especially ranking the ACER Aspire 5 at the top for these three configurations. The HP not being RAM upgradable and limited brightness are major limitations would be only comment.

I have an 11th Gen, Aspire 5, i-5. Got it for less than $500. I have maxed out the RAM (20 GB), installed a 1 TB SATA drive and upgraded to a better NVME drive. (SK Hynix) I like the screen, the keyboard and the selection of ports. Great review. Nicely done!

I must say not too bad but - you need to include the more in depth of the battery. must include how long in hours it lasts on a charge, It was good that you gave or pointed out the poor screen viewing on the ASUS unit. Good job but be a bit more descriptive in construction quality pros and cons . Like I said before include battery performance and life expectancy and your review will be much more Interesting...

I tend to keep mine for a long time (5 years +). Unless you damage the hinge, screen, or keyboard you shouldnt upgrade just for the sake of upgrading. Of course if the performance is lacking or if battery cannot be replaced, then I upgrade

Acer Swift 3 is thinner and lighter and has 12 hr battery life. But its little more expensive than Aspire 5 amzn.to/3k0QMSZ So if you value long battery life and light weight go with Swift 3

It's better to match the speed. But if you put a 3200mhz RAM in a laptop configured for 2666mhz, bios will automatically down clock it

No!! The ram may not be compatible! The most significant is upgrading from single to dual channel memory!! OR upgrading capacity. Don't mess with speed!!!

Min 8GB [better if RAM is not soldered to MB] 5. 250 to 500 GB NVMe SSD 6. 65W charging where Type-C port shud be avail for charging 7. 9-10 hours battery 8. Convertible 9. Best trackpad

expect to pay quite a bit of money for that! also, i like the envy x360 with the 4500u
