I used to make the successor of the compensator at 2:10. Cut my palms to ribbons, but super cool to see it in the game. Quick little bit of trivia: It was made for breaching teams, to provide the bene fits of a compensator without blasting your buddy's face with the off-gassing powder in close quarters environments.

Really good low and mid tier builds, but the high tier build is still upgradable. You can swap the pistol grip for an RK-3 and the scope (+dust cover) for an OPK-7/Cobra EKP. It’s just adding 1% more reduction, but “best in slot” should be best in slot. Still love your videos! Keep it up man!

If you want budget ak, rather then flat iron sights. Get a gas block that allows attachments and add a laser pointer....... there is currently a bug in the recoil pattern, And there is already a KZfaq video on it so I’ll let you go find out for yourselves too :D Great video as always jdog :)

I really dislike the soft-skills in EFT. High-level players can easily spray with shit-recoil weapons, but new players struggle so much more :/

I don´t even mind having SOME soft skills but having huge benefits to hearing distance, recoil control and sprint speed is just unfair, imo. Maybe they´ll find a way to balance them better in the future.

The only positive is I'm hoping that starting out when everyone is in the late game has made me better than I would have been if I started playing right after a wipe. Learning recoil control, good positioning and making smart split second decisions will take you very far in this game. I've found that as long as your not using garbage ammo you still have a fighting chance. Just don't attempt to outshoot them in a head-on gunfight where both of you know where the other is. Attack from the position of maximum advantage.

They might tune them down but I hope they keep them. I like that Tarkov has a lot of RPG elements and leveling your character is part of the journey. It's my first wipe and my skills are low, so I'm not benefitting from these soft skills, but I don't see why my character should have ''equal'' chance with someone who's level 65 and dedicated time to make their character better. Fuck this ''equal'' shit honestly.

I have played Tarkov since 0.10, the absolute best thing about this game... talent is the great equalizer. During .11 and .12 I have rest my account after wipe for giggles. The soft skills help, sure. The lv4 traders and additional mods help, yeah. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING can substitute for positioning, anatomy of the firefight, and simply knowing how to control the fight. My favorite guns are the ADAR, M1A, and SA58. Starting to love the .308 MDR. But hear or no gear map experience and learning to control the fight trumps gear 99 out of 100 times.

Nice builds! Just wanted to add that the Magpul RVG grip is a decent option if you can get your hands on it from Peacekeeper. It is 74$ - so it is a little more expensive than the RK-0 - but offers the same recoil reduction with +7 ergo instead of just +4. And I have one question regarding the pistol grip: Isn't the Zenit RK-3 better (+13 ergo instead of +12)? Or is there something I'm missing?

Heres my tip. Always get the extra butt stock pad. It's super cheap and adds more for its cost than alot of other gun mods.

A good mention for AK's is the Cobra EKP-8-02, EKP-8-18, or the OKP-7 (dovetail version only) reflex sights. They have a -6 to 7 ergonomics hit, but they actually give you a -1% recoil bonus, while being cheaper than the PK-06. This can help get your recoil lower while keeping your budget down at a hit to ergo.

J Dog th3 Wise Even weirder is the huge Nightforce ATACR 7-35x56 Riflescope gives you a -2% recoil bonus, which technically makes it the best in slot recoil reduction despite being a sniper scope.

RVG grip is like the RK-0, but with more ergo and not much more expensive ($75 when unlocked at trader), so its great for budget/mid-tier builds. A great budget M4 is to buy TX-15 off the flea market for ~80k. you can swap the lower to an m4 and resell the grey charging handle and tx lower for 40k on the flea market.

I mentioned this on another video:Zenit RK-3 AK pistol grip off level 2 Skier. Has 13 ergo, costs 8770. The Magpul MOE pistol grip only has 12 ergo, for 7651. It's a difference of 1119 roubles for 1 more ergo. Plus, it only needs Skier level 2, compared to Mechanic level 3, so it's also easier to get access to.

If you have mechanic level 3 the hands down best gun trade in the game imo is the military cable and 4 packs of Marlboro smokes for the ak 74. It has a dust cover with a rail, good hand guard, butt stock, muzzle device and pistol grip. Can't remember the names of all but it is a very solid mid tier gun for less than 40k rubbles total. I've filled a weapons case with them and near about run them exclusively since it's so easy and fast to finish the build and cheap too

Awesome video Djude! But I think the first , budget , build could be even better at the same price. So, instead modding gas block or handguard for foregrip, just attach Zhukovs stock and CQB muzzle brake. it's around 38k roubles plus ~28k for gun itself and you have 66k akn with 58 recoil, and for mid tier build, just add a Magpul handguard (the longer one, forget its name) and a dedicated foregrip. Personally, I rather have high ergo and instant adsing than low recoil (I think 57 recoil is enough) Keep it up man!

@@JDogth3Wise good luck! I generally stay away from 556 for anything budget because the ammo is just so expensive. 7.62x39 has become my go to for budget CBQ. 5.45 for intermediate or 7.62x51 for mid to long range.

Switch the AK-74N for the "AK-74" in all the builds since/if the side-rail mount isn't used anyway if you want to save some bucks. Same for AKM variants. The basic AKM comes without the rail aswell and should usually be slightly cheaper.

Recoil control stat is everything it seems. Big difference between recoil in the 60-70 range and recoil in the 50s range.

Never really found AKs to kick particularly much, but I do enjoy a жуков stock for AKM just for the stylish look. Stock seems to be a good option though, cause you often get them back with insurance. xD My personal recommendation would be to put a recoil pad on your AK, and either use the AKMP rear sight, and only rear sight, or a Taktica Tula rear sight without a red dot applied to it. You'd be surprised how much those 2 modifications do to the AKs, to make their irons pleasurable to use.

Just some feedback- i think you missed 2 key things for a video like this to have good value: 1) the side by side price and stat comparison as an intro or summary and 2) side by side video showing actual performance comparison (ideally, by just shooting a wall for consistency)

Great 74M Budget Build: PWS CQB, Buttpad, OKP-7 or EKP-8 sight, AK100 Foregrip and an RK-0. You will have 63 recoil for about 70k.

While I know this is an old video, I'm surprised you weren't running the Cobra reflex/red dot sights on your AKs, either with the dovetail mount or mounted directly on to the dustcover for that added 1% reduction. Cheaper than the PK-06 too.

Hint: if you got your traders high level you probably know enough about the game to build your own guns so for prices you should instead refer to flea marked instead of lvl 3 traders

PK-06 has 1 ergo penalty, so I usually go with aimpoint micro now.

Is it really worth all the hassle? PK-06 is bit cheaper and lighter and you can just slap it on a rail as is. For the T-1 sight you need to get mount for the sight before you can mount it on any gun and like said that is bit heavier and expensive setup compared to PK-06 (the difference is marginal but it's there). With all that hassle, extra cost and weight you win a singular point of ergo which effect you aren't likely even gonna notice.

The moe pistol grip isn't actually best in slot. The rk-3 from skier lvl2 has one more ergonomics at roughly the same price (its a lot cheaper than adding that ergonomics from the charging handle as well). The AK-74M also has good enough base stats to make up for the stock difference, however it tends to get a few more ergonomics points and also a couple points more recoil (overall the value technically is better however) Lastly, the B-25U RK-1 combines the best stats of both RK-1 and RK-0, so it's a better option if you're not going for the RK-2

well this is outdated because for 24k you can make a AK a laser with 55 recoil, JMAC and Butt pad

The problem with for example the BUDGET build is, that you really only are gonna run those low cost builds at lower levels... when you wont have access to the high level vendors... so putting a grip from LL3 Skier there, is pretty much nonsense.

Just use Vss and sb-5 ammo because you probraly don't have level 30 recoil control like him

Love it, will definitely try them out. Although i would remove the muzzle recommendations and exclusively run silenced Curious to an M4/ADAR version of this, so I can compare and tweak my AR15 build. Because I have no idea what's recommended or optimal for them.

Cobra sight reduces recoil :) , the top rail mounted, not the side rail mounted

Honestly, dont even put a red dot on the budget build. The tt01 still has a rear sight on it and personally i like it way better than the default one. Plus, if you find a red dot in raid (basically guaranteed) you can just slap that on there, easy way to save another 15k roubles.
