Orc is definitely the best for hunter

For feral disc is your best healer. The comp relies on heavy CC for it to work cause ferals have no MS. You will be ok with either at lower ratings but once you match people who know how to play it will be hard for you to land kills without CC chains. Also the offensive power of disc priest with purges and their dmg will help you burst down targets when one is CC'd.

pro tip, play feral + rogue in 2v2 and.... well see for yourself :D

disc is more offensive and has more ways of how it can be played - with dispels, mana burns, a lot of crowd control, but it's also the squishiest healer and has the highest skill cap of all, r sham and h pal are both a lot more defensive, usually longer games, but safer and easier playstyles

Disc strengths: best cchain potential, mana burn as a win condition, offensive dispels, both cyclone and MC usable to prevent kill target from being healed up, arguably the best mana back, dispel taking off 2 magic effects letting your melee stay on a mage more Disc weaknesses: easiest to tunnel down, especially by warriors and dks, worst mobility, weaker healing output than the other two. All of those are well compensated since feral has the best survi in the game and one of the best peels as well. Shaman strengths: the best passive healing, can break cc on his dps through spirit link, purge + shear + grounding makes him very annoying for casters, hex being undispellable by 2 healers, wolf form + earthbind makes it very easy to kite anybody around pillar except dks and ferals. Shaman weaknesses: least contributing to offensive so be prepared for long and boring games without much of setting up your gos, any rogue can prevent his only big cd for 10 seconds, hex being dispellable by 3 dps classes. Paladin strengths: BoM brings out full potential from your melee dps, by far most cooldowns so you can have a lot of answers for 2x dps that last long, can trinket your blinds and such via HoP, hardest to train for melee, least necessity for hard casting. Paladin weaknesses: 4 of their cooldowns are dispellable (so also stealable), has no range defense against hard casted spammable CC like SWD or Shear except for sac, all healing is direct meaning once cchain starts it's reduced to 0, provides slightly better offensive support than shaman but is still far cry from priests. Because of that cc vulnerability, they are basically forced to kiss pillar 24/7 against mages and warlocks.

It is a solid spec for pvp, not extremely impressive, lacks defensives and struggles with rogues, but otherwise good, can be very competitive

Somewhere around 7th place overall, very solid in every regard, all the off healing you can do and support, paired with solid dps and great burst, lacks CC a bit and has no slows or better defensives, that is it’s only weakness

​@@MEYTRIXI played double ret to 2400 with a buddy in old Cata. Just selfless healer all your procs and wogs into eachother for bigger heals & dmg buff it's so fun lol

Only issue with ret is no good gap closer and not great cc but if ur teammate is good I would say ret is extremely good for climbing the ladder and will probably be pretty easy to do it with especially since it can crush a rouge pretty easily and that’s what ur gonna face the most

Hey, veeeery difficult, skill ceiling for it is super high, but for you to be a decent feral isn’t that hard, it’s just that there’s always another way how you could play it, but it’s relatively similar playstyle to rogue

None of the 4 are easy, warrior is the easiest but also doesn’t perform as well, so I don’t think I am gonna help you much with choosing the right one 😐 but I made a few videos going through what the classes offer and how they are on Cata, you could check those out to get a better idea

For random BGs and low effort - arcane mage or frost DK are both great options, Ele sham basically just spams Chain Lightning and does the craziest AoE pushing 1 button, so all these 3 you wouldn’t go wrong with

Same as anyone else, Tailoring for the proc combined with your burst, Eng for world PvP and BGs, any crafting prof with +80 bonus to your main stat if you wanna play it safe

Both amazing, ret gets hard countered only by mages rly, and then rogues and ferals are very tough fights, but it can kill almost anything…and unholy DK only has big trouble with rogues and feral which hard counter it, so both are very good classes for 1v1 overall

Hey Lethal, the most prominent differences are pet vs no pet and caster or no caster, if this idn’t a big deal to you then you may focus on their performance (which I have made a few video comparisons including tier lists)

If you’re talking about fire mage - play that, enjoyable and spreading AoE chaos seeing multiple enemies burn at the same time 💀

@@MEYTRIX Yeah, always loved fire but in wotlk it was squishy. Hunter is kill stealer, for me easier to play and survive - especially vs casters. Always loved survival spells but MM is still the king for pvp I guess. I will probably go mage...

@@MEYTRIX Yeah man, my buddy is playing Shadow/disc so were gonna goof off with shadow play but I was thinking of running a feral or mage with him in twos.. I know feral is better but I have more fun with the mage.

I have trouble keeping ferals off of me. Everytime I go to scare beast they get out of cat form so all u have is ice trap scatter an monkey stun to keep them off so I'd like to know how you think hunter counters feral, and not the same NPC argument of "cause im not bad 1500 noob". Actually give some logic behind your statement please. I actually want to learn and get better. Thanks for the feedback

You can break roots using dash and stampete roar. Two skills that allow you to break free from roots and give you mobility. With double charge(as you can use interrupt for gap closing the hunter for example) and sprints on root breaks feral sticks like glue.

I agree with most of what has been said here and in the replies, feral has auto-applied slows too, has roots and nature's grasp, and infinite CC as well, so sticking to a target isn't that difficult for him, for 2v2 comps: rogue, hunter, disc priest are all S tier comps for feral, ret and r sham are A tier, that is enough rank 1 viable options for me, and then in 3v3 you can combine those classes and push rank 1 realistically too, that is how I see it

it would probably be in the top 5 along with Unholy DK, but it's still not up to par with this top 3 IMO

fire is probably top 3 for rbgs I main fire mage and hunters can be dog shit and just smoke you and it’s almost impossible to 1v1 a rogue and Druid as a fire mage

​@MEYTRIX yes, no more pet dismissing spam. The cd will all be shared, no having 5 monkeys back to back for new stuns. There is a blue post about it, curious to hear your thoughts on how big of a change that would be to their overall balance

Tbh, im glad they fixed it. I love to play hunter, but i hate this constant pet swap. Makes it not fun to Play, even it was op

Yep, they are, there’s ways how to make it easier, playing heal comps in 2v2 etc, but in the end - the better the player, the stronger the class

Arms warriors are trash on cata

idk about the OG 2010 Cata, I only played it since 2014 on privates, but many of the specs that were somewhat viable 15 years ago were pushed out later since people figured out the meta over time, but I have seen enough videos to say that arms warrior was pretty bad even back then

Resi is bugged in pre-patch right now ..... its getting hot fixed with weekly reset for EU on 8th May. ....... they just need to reduce pvp gear cost even more than the 66% they did yesterday, its still too much for how little honour we get outside of Wintergrasp.

Yea their dmg is over the roof and their survability too but saying they are OP is a bit too much. They don't even fit in many comps in either 2s or 3s to be in that category.
