Last updated 2/7/2023:
1) The programmable scroll buttons on the yoke are being switched out for a volume up and down button on the left (still programmable?) and a horn button on the right.
2) Wireless charging was mentioned as a feature for Delta during the Fully Charged Live event in September, though it is not officially listed as a feature on Aptera's website as of 1/3/2022. At this point we know there are two USB-C ports.
Jason Hill recently suggested there will be a 12-volt outlet in the rear, possibly only if you order the camping kit.
3) "We plan to equip the vehicle with seat heaters. We are designing this vehicle specifically for a lot of the cold countries that love electric vehicles."
4) Aptera recently suggested that there will be no front camera on the vehicle at the start of production, indicating this will be a hardware add-on for Safety Pilot. They have hinted that they're working with a partner "in that area." So it's unofficial right now, but sounds like Comma AI to me. A recent video from Cyber Owners seems to confirm this.
5) The document holder in the glove box area is confirmed. It looks like soft material with a zipper.
6) There are two ultrasonic parking sensors in the front (on the nose cone now instead of the wheelpants) and none in the back. The idea is to rely on the wide-angle backup camera only in the back.
7) "We chose to finish Aptera with an extremely durable wrap because it is more environmentally friendly and eliminates approximately 98% of the need for a traditional painting process while offering UV protection. We also hope people will find it easier to repair damages or switch out colors of their choosing. We expect the film wrap to last 5 to 10 years in aggressive UV environments. We are testing with the vendors now to set expectations and warranty." Chris Anthony recently said they are looking at the 3M 2080 wrap.
8) "In regards to Apple CarPlay or Android [Auto] - we are focusing on Bluetooth right now and hope to offer that compatibility in the future."
(As far as I can tell, this is no longer on the website).
9) According to Chris Anthony in December 2022, room is being left on the solar controller for an upgradeable solar kit later on for an additional 1000W or more, but the kit will not be available at the time of launch.

Putting all together, one ends up with a car designed in California, however it's a Euro Super car, at a fraction of the cost. Motors in wheel from Elaphe, and carbon fiber body from Italy CPC. Suspension, Rouse, from Michigan, and overall bleeding edge engineering going into this product, makes me wish to be driving one. Going out to grab a pizza in my Aptera will be just plain fun. Rolling on the interstate to see my friends far and wide, with a side trip to Alaska to see some bears. Cannot wait!!!

I'm excited about industry expert Sandy Munro being an investor & tech consultant for Aptera. Going to CF-SMC was his idea after visiting and working with CPC Group engineers in Italy. These are the guys who design/manufacture parts for Ferrari, Ducati, McLaren, Porsche, and MV Agusta. Aptera is employing the best minds and tech in the industry. Like Tesla did a decade ago. It's the direction future EV design needs to go relative to industry supply constants on battery materials -- high efficiency and solar assist. I recently pre-ordered and invested in Aptera.

Nice summary of lots of the Aptera's features. As Oops1e mentioned there are some (lots) or features/characteristics that you state as apparent facts. I hope you're right and that they have been sourced directly from Aptera. There's one mis-statement that I noticed: At 3:15 you state "The seats are designed to be super lightweight, strong, and safe but not without sacrificing comfort or styling." Your double negative ("not without") suggests they DID sacrifice comfort or styling which I don't think was your intent. (Drop the "not" and all is good.)

More buttons and knobs, physical controls! Our Tesla's screen controls are slow and not driver-friendly. At least there is one stalk for wiper control and turn signals. That should be a minimum on Aptera. I'm glad to hear that the yoke's scroll wheels are programmable for HVAC controls, would hate to lose that. Quick windshield defrost is a must. Great summary. Not 100% sure about some statements like carplay/android or safetypilot being OTA; ideally they will be but without a definitive statement I wouldn't count on it. App and infotainment functionality can be expected to be very basic initially. We still have a lot of unknowns. I am still hoping for some V2L (120V circuits). Cosmetic PPF rather than vinyl wrap would really help; An extra material cost of ~$300 at the factory for 2-3 times the life seems a no brainer. Vinyl in many states has no warranty because the sun just kills it too quickly. They called it a "film" which is not generally used as a term for vinyl. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the feedback! We can learn a lot from each other in the Aptera community. I've added some updates to the description of the video. Chris McCammon said during Fully Charged Live in an Instagram Live that Android Auto and Apple Carplay would be available in a software update later on. On Aptera's website it currently says, "In regards to Apple CarPlay or Android - we are focusing on Bluetooth right now and hope to offer that compatibility in the future." Chris McCammon also said the company is exploring having Safety Pilot be over-the-air upgradeable with the vehicle being shipped with the required hardware. You can check this out on danwat1234's channel. As you said, there's a lot of unknowns. It's a developing situation. The latest updates from the Ambassador webinar sounds like there may be some additional hardware requirements for the self-driving capabilities. In regards to the vinyl wrap, Aptera's website currently says, "Our plan is to finish the vehicle with an extremely durable wrap. We hope people will find it easier to repair damages or switch out colors of their choosing. We expect the vinyl wrap to last 5 to 10 years in aggressive UV environments. We’re testing with the vendors now to set expectations and warranty." For V2L, Aptera's website currently says they're talking with partners and will announce more later on. This would be such a great value-add!

Aptera's CTO has even talked about having a hardware reset stored in ROM to restore factory settings if it gets too messed up. They are all for owners experimenting with their vehicles. That said, Aptera is already selling their UI to other companies, and it is their first revenue stream.

Hard pass without side airbags. This isn't 2005. Side airbags save lives and the Aptera will have a mass disadvantage in a collision with the vast majority of cars on the road. Very bad sign this feature isn't seen as essential.

I'm an investor and I'm concerned..multiple series of crowdfunding efforts and need for another 50 million just to start production? No JV w Tesla or existing EV manufacturers? Love love this concept but I'm trying to match aspirations/ dreams w reality.. financial issues have killed more than 1 great idea

Financials are critical! They have multiple paths to get enough capital to start production. In addition the $22 million CPC grant, they are applying for other government loans/grants, institutional loans, and using crowdfunding. Check out aptera.us for more on #AccelerateAptera (raised $1.2M in just a few days already).

Get away from cell service on a decently long hike and forget to put your phone on Airplane Mode and it will soon be dead. Now you can?t start your car , enter it, or call for help. I like having a real metal key!

This maybe a nice vehicle for some, but it does not meet family size and needs I am looking for. I do prefer 4 wheels under me for my driving needs. How do insurance companies view this type of vehicle? Is this vehicle classified as a motorbike and need special license? The design is too weird and futuristic for me and stands out like a sore thumb. Storage just not enough for my uses, prefer a hatchback or SUV for my storage needs. I live in a winter state and still don't know how reliable this vehicle is in snow or icy conditions. Where do we take these puppies to get serviced if the vehicle breaks down? Good luck for people looking to get one of these vehicles, but not for me.

Only in one category, the behavior we are most in need of ending, is Aptera outperforming other EVs but it is still wrong, wrong, wrong. The vast majority of car abusers need to stop using freeways and high speed roads to do what should only be done on public transportation in 2023. To survive the next century we have to change our behavior. A high speed vehicle that uses no power at all STILL requires the nature suffocating roads to function. It STILL kills creatures and insects as they cross the roads. It STILL encourages us to continue devastating lifestyles and activities. It STILL encourages car centic city designs that isolate people from nature while sealed in a chamber away from society and reality. It encourages owners to drive too fast for safety while going too far for sustainable living. It is the ultimate one trick pony of the EV world. It is every bit as bad as the obscenely over powered Teslas in how it justifies obsolete lifestyles. We need light EVs for local transportation to the stores and work at moderate speeds, not the Lear Jet of land transportation. A complimentary second vehicle to my Arcimoto would be the Nimbus one for times we need climate control.

@@protoborg You just showed that you know nothing about engineering. BTW, I worked for the company that hired the Tesla engineers after Tesla ran out of money and had to lay them off. Even they would tell you that Teslas are not as efficient for multiple reasons obvious to any engineer. Why the FUD?
