It depends on the person. Personally I think everyone is a hypocrite when it comes to comedy. I have a religious friend who's fine with racist jokes and homophobic jokes but if you make fun of Jesus he'll lose his mind. Everyone thinks certain things should be protected from being made fun of but what people think those things are varies from person to person. And it's all because of personal biases and subjective morality. But if you ask me, good comedy punches up. Not down. Blazing Saddles is kind of punching down. There are better ways to do parody and satire without reaching for the lowest hanging fruit along the way.

They actually aren’t. Their sensitivity is unique to themselves and as such appropriate. The problem is when we assume others must have our sensitivity. I've been watching SNL since it debuted in 1975. I remember most of these sketches. They were all on target, and that is probably why some people were upset. There is a reason that they were called "The Not Ready for Prime Time Players". Or as Robert Klein said when he was guest hosting during the first season, "Prime Time is not ready for them!" SNL has toned down over the years, but is still a good place to find some smart satire, especially if you aren't easily offended.

With the exception of Brody in dreadlocks (stupid and yes, a bit racist), EVERY skit that is supposedly racist towards Black people was written and/or performed by.....Black people. They are some of the funniest to ever write or perform, too (Paul Moody, Richard Pryor, Michael Che, Leslie Jones and et cetera). What is happening? 🤷🏾‍♀

All were fabulous! SNL is the first to put the BS in the world right in America's big fat face, lol. I love how they use comedy to soften the uncomfortable situations. I understand that certain members of society might see the skits as hurtful or disrespectful, but imo by weakening the power an incident may hold over one may be helpful to accept and heal a victim, while also bringing awareness to viewers at home. I honestly do wonder how many viewers were so out of touch that they never considered that a skit may have been based on a real happening that they never heard of? I always just die watching SNL, been watching since in elementary school in the 70's. The last last season was always my favorite!!🎉

The worst thing about Gen Z hospital is it’s a direct rip off of Cherdleys and Skatie420’s Gen Z hospital sketch they uploaded on KZfaq. Saturday Night live made Gen Z hospital like two weeks after their video was posted on KZfaq. It’s the most blatant form of SNL plagiarism that no one mentions.

If you have such a delicate constitution, then maybe you should stick to watching the Hallmark Channel or one of the religious boring channels. Don’t watch a second rate comedy sketch show and act like it’s being shown to kids. Save the drama. So much of these were just not funny enough to be offensive.

. "DEAD honky!" was the funniest single line ever spoken on SNL. It was all downhill from there. When snowflakes lost the ability to look at themselves, feel a little self-conscious, and have a laugh at the _universality_ of how _so_ _many_ _things_ about Human Beans are a little hilarious, they went and killed comedy. Fuck 'em...
