As one who spent many Summers hiking around Switzerland, I would say my favorite place is Interlacken for hiking, followed by Zermat and Lucerne for city life, culture and cruising the lakes.

Love the collection! Though Allgäu might be my favourite ;) it’s all great stuff. Your content on Seceda and the Dolomites really inspired me to go there this past summer and it totally lived up to the hype. 13:48, when it says Slovenia, looks just like Austria. I have a picture, that looks identical and it's taken after we left Hallstat, Lienz and are abut to enter Italy..... editing - I saw it in few minutes and now I know where I was _ GOSAU! :D hahaha

I always wanted to go to Berchtesgaden. Did you know there’s a legend surrounding the Watzmann? In the legend he was a cruel king, who was turned into stone along with his wife and children… that’s why the peaks are shaped so uniquely.

Great video! So many cities and beautiful places! All the travels go in circles. I rode around Asia, spelling out a parabola on one of the hemispheres of our planet. Thank you for this! In the early stages of planning a comprehensive trip through the entirety of the Alps from France-Slovenia and Italy-Germany (already done much of the Tour du Mt. Blanc), and these 30 suggestions will definitely make it to the list. Maybe when I return to Zermatt I'll have better weather (it snowed there when I was there in late August).

You’re going to have a trip of a lifetime! That’s crazy it was snowing in august in Zermatt! The weather there is so unpredictable

@@RyanShirley Yup, but it still fun taking the train up and walking around the area (and got a glimpse of The Matterhorn for a couple seconds). Also want to return to the Lake Bled area in Slovenia and the area above Bolzano in Italy. I (and my feet) like the idea of day hikes vs. the multi-day Tour du Mt. Blanc, so I'm sure a return to Chamonix is also in the cards.

Another thorough adventure. Some of those cliff walks and narrow bridges were only for the brave, especially around Lauterbrunnen. The "Ladder to Heaven" at Gossausee looked impossible to me - at first I though that was you on it and I have a feeling you'll do it some day. One thing I love is the way the people of the Alpine region manage to somehow build lookouts, restaurants and even hotels in the most unlikely places.

Thanks so much John! I agree with you, I think one think that makes the alps so magical is all the restaurants and refuges built on top of mountains! You rarely find that anywhere else! 🏔
