What happened to Josh is so saddening. He really does seem like a good guy, and I can relate to his problem with drugs and alcohol, and anger while under the influence. What's so scary is how this could absolutely happen to me in the wrong circumstances. I sympathize with you Josh and I hope things get easier for you moving forward

I just wanted to add this! I'm in law school and had to learn about this piece of jurisprudence. I don't remember the details but it was basically a bunch of teens harassing and hurting a classmate phisically while overlooking him while he transferred his items to their accounts (I thought there were two of them). Theft however can only be done to goods one could either touch or held any monetary value, it was up to question whether virtual goods did count too and this was agreed upon due to this piece of jurisprudence as John Doe just said. Not only the fact that one could touch or sell certain items made it a "good" but also the effort one had to make to get an item, virtual or not. RuneScape therefore had an impact on Dutch jurisdiction. The two got away with a sentence of community service for 144 hours

Thing is that those trillion gp quick chats only count phats as max cash instead of their street value. If those are real, his actual in game worth is at least an order of magnitude higher than what was shown.

Great video as usual and once again thank you mote. I was the opposite before runescape and I would probably be in jail if it wasn't for this game. I started playing osrs in the middle of 2017 due to watching your videos. I had no clue the game relaunched in 2013, and got a late start in 2017. Over the last 2 and a half years I have met some wonderful friends and co own a social cc now all thanks to your videos, nothing but love for you man.

He has been streaming on twitch a bit, I missed mote too. He took a long time off after his brother passed away. I legit cried a bit watching those irl videos. Mote is a good dude. If you must know he does seem to be doing better and I'm glad because he is such a genuinely good person. Is it weird how we know so much about him and his life and care so much for someone we have never met and who knows nothing about us lol.

I used to play MapleStory, and I heard about a hacker who called himself "Echo", and he was actually able to hack into one of the mods' (equivalent to a jmod) accounts and announced, with that account, to the entire server "ECHO RULES ECHO RULES". It was pretty crazy XD

Best advice I can give being that you’ve been away for so long is to join a pvm clan or make one yourself there are tonnes of players that can help catch you up on things, you can check out updates on the OSRS main page too, aside from all that check out the wiki, always something useful on there glad your back to something we all love.

Its what most subscription games are leaning towards nowadays. Targeting their 'loyal' player base with ridiculous microtransactions, rather than making everyone happy to spend more om their monthly subscription for extra content etc. STOP with the pay to win, and go back to pay to PLAY. At least we've got OSRS to never let us down. 🙏

I agree that the game has changed so much over the years, I guess for me I remember the 2004 era and pre 2004 RSC and if jagex would make those servers I would just play those because those are my preferred way to play runescape.

id be happy to fill you in on whats changed in a TLDR since 2018. Vorkath was added - (Dragon Slayer 2) added the best in slot range backpack variant and is best consistent money maker in game Theater Of Blood- added Tank armour, best in slot melee weapon, melee offhand attachment Hydra and Mt Kourlum- Boss which added new glove variant/ melee weapon which does increased damage to dragons Revenants- added wilderness weapons which increase accuracy on PVM Fremenik Exiles- adds attachment to helm of neizitnot Nightmare of Ashihama- new group boss with corp like drop table for mage weapons/ niche melee gear Inferno which added the best in slot melee cape- considered the hardest end game content
