They do make the cold steel recon scout in CPM 3V, it’s an awesome knife

Excellent, balanced take, as always mate. I love the Skrama, and I think its an excellent all round tool for the woods. It can do everything a hatchet, machete, and knife can do .... only not quite as well as any dedicated tool. As someone who has a lot of budget friendly knives, I always pack a sharpener by default. So for me, cheaper steels just means the frequency of sharpening changes. I would actually also suggest a BK2 or the very similar British Army Survival Knife. (similar in form, but worse sheath and scales.) I am not one for brutally beating my knives and battoning with them, but on a recent trip I took my new BK2 and processed logs with it. I was shocked. I eventually found out that all you needed to do was set up the knife, and hammer with low to medium force. You dont need to pound it through the wood, just start giving it regular hard taps, and then it starts going in a bit, and the shock force splitting the grain apart, just makes the log "pop apart" after a while. In no small part this is the width of the blade doing the work. I am now officially converted to thick, heavy duty bushcraft knives. I am just not a big fan of carrying the extra weight.

The best ones I've tried, are theTRC Mille Cuori and it's younger brothers the M-1SLG and M-1SL.

Yes agreed. Especially the newer M1. Best knives on the market imo, in all ways, design, materials, fit n finish, factory edges, just perfect knives. And for about the same money I'd pick a trc over a fallkniven every time.

@@Darrenski Facts! Fallkniven has fallen a category above, after knives like the TRC came out! They are by far the best knives in their category out there, none comes close!

All solid knives. I just used my skrama 200 this past weekend for the first time and it did great...phenomenal value for sure. I appreciate you mentioning Survive is unreliable...seems like a good few channels lately have been trying to shill for them so its refreshing to see someone calling out their issues.

Those Idiots are talking about the Chinese Budget SRK in SK5 which have some Bad Heat Treats and now those people think they ALL Break easy , the ones that are made in Taiwan are Great .... 👍🖖
