Feed liquid food like cerlax and manava health mix

Small birds need the most protein when they're babies. I suggest pate puppy food mixed with purified or spring water and stir it until it is a puree with liquid consistency, like a Suet form. Use a small straw or medicine dropper to feed the bird. Give the bird to drink only small amount of this suet mixture of the watered puppy food , a little bit at a time. Be careful cause shoving it down the throat can drown the bird because the mixture can go into the lungs or get stuck or compacted in the throat. Slowly massage the beak to stimulate feeding encouragement. If you play a verbal cooing pigeon sound from a you tube video, this helps the bird greatly.This is how I have done it. Feed small babies every hour starting from 6 AM just like the mom would be doing early start of the early rising.This is crucial to their survival. Dont force feed but let them have the protein water from the food in their system so they can at least be hydrated. Be careful cause sometimes if you give it the liquid food to drink , it can go into the small openings of their beak nostrils and they will drown. When feeding you must have patience. So from 6 AM till through out the day , the baby should be hand fed small amount of the suet mixture until about 1 month old when it should be old enough to eat on it's own. At about 7 or 8PM in the Evening there should be no more feedingtime and the bird should be inside a well ventilated box with small holes openings on the box and cover the box to imitate that it is night time and it needs to sleep till 6 AM for feeding the next rising day. All birds rest for the night outside when it starts getting dark so this is no different.Make sure it is quiet & peaceful when its sleep time for birds otherwise it disturbs their pattern and growth. When it can walk on its own and peck , then introduce it to small finch and canary food thats available at pet shops. Calling a wildlife rehabilitation center in your area is best if you feel this is to much to handle But it will be your responsibility to take the bird to them since they nurse and release it back to its habitat or outdoors. Remember that pigeons as well as birds can carry sicknesses/ disease as they are not vaccinated, So thoroughly wash good your hands.

I'm so sorry to hear that, I was just about to comment how the first method is very harmful. Pigeons are supposed to be fed special milk by their parents and we can usually substitute that with very wet foods.

Try putting peas in the back of its mouth, and wait overnight if it’s at least two weeks old. I know I’m a year late, but if you ever get another one…

@Techrobberz Gaming Open it’s mouth for it and hold it open. Squeeze it slightly and try to push your fingernail between the beak. Hold it open and push the food item in. If it feeds at least once, you can try the bottle method- start with a ground seed smoothie. It’s closest to what they get outside. Make sure it’s in a quiet room and warm so it doesn’t have to spend extra energy on body heat. Cover whatever you have it in with a towel or sheet so it’s dark.

@Techrobberz Gaming Baby pigeons don’t open their mouths on their own, try to push a soaked seed or thawed pea to the back of its throat. Push farther back as you can if the pigeon rejects it- at least past where it’s beak starts. Figure out as much as you can without stressing it- body condition, etc. There are a couple good resources online. I hope I’m not too late. You can also used soaked non-medicated chick feed, but you’d need to syringe feed. Also offer seeds in a dish- if it’s almost one month it should be developing pecking instincts.

I have also raised pigeons very well on microwaved store bought peas, sweet corn or soaked chick crumbles will also work in a pinch. I am here if you have any more questions. If you have a baby pigeon and it won’t eat like this, try pushing the food item to the back of their throat.
