Here’s a basic cost breakdown of my Ethiopia trip with Abyssinian Nomads:
1. Omo valley: $200-250 per day with a local tour operator.
Includes guide, 4X4 land cruiser, camping equipment. Half board meals, lodges/hotels and entrance fees to all point of interests.
2. Simien mountains: $150 - 250 per day
Price includes local guides, 4x4 land cruiser, camping equipment. All parks and point of interest entrance fees. Comes with chef and park scout as well. There is a luxury lodge option for increased price.
3. Addis Ababa: $50 to $300 per day depending on style of travel
Higher prices would include hotel accommodation, famous city tour and coffee ceremony. With local guide and food tour.
4. Danakil Depression: $150-200 per day
It is advised to only travel in this region with local tour operators due to security concerns. Price includes 4x4 land cruiser, local guides, camping equipment, all park and point of interest fees, half board meals and a park scout from the Afar region to escort entire trip.
Lalibela: $100-250
Upper price includes local tour guide, 4x4 land cruiser, hotel/lodge accommodation. Half board meal and entrance to all Rock Churches of Lalibela.

Working in Ethiopia for 6 years from 2013 to 2019... 3 years in Amara region and the rest in Awasa area.. I have been to Gonder to Hawassa. Ethiopia is one of my favorite place that I have been visited.

@@johnm.castillo3163 yes.. english language not spoken in ethiopia most likely on the countryside, unless you hired a tour guide or an interpreter. As for me I am working there and we have professional employee but still they cannot understand english well..

@@LexieLimitless Hi Lexie, Since you're enjoying your time in Ethiopia, it would way fascinating if you visit the breakaway Country, Somaliland...Lots of youtubers have gone there and they were experiencing very positive stuffs...People are too nice, delicious foods, cheap hotels and historical sites....You stay in Hargeisa and try to have Someone who shows you things around the city...There's Canadian local youtuber who is happy to host you

It’s one of my favourite countries as well. The culture is so unique and landscapes are amazing. The danikil depression is incredible, it’s sad the situation they are in now. Glad you love Ethiopia as much as I do

Wow, this video is incredible! Ethiopia looks really beautiful! I definitely would love to check out Addis Ababa as well as the Simien Mountains and the Omo Valley one day. I think it is really neat that Ethiopia was never colonized and maintains a very unique culture. The Danakil Depression looks incredible as well, but I agree that safety is very important and to not put yourself into danger when going anywhere. Hopefully someday it will be safer to go there as it looks amazing! Awesome video!

Ethiopia was occupied by Italy for 5 years, not colonized. Same like French was occupied by Germany , but not colonized.

Ethiopia is one of my favorite countries. I visited in march of this year, by 11am on my first day in Addis I somehow managed to get a tour of the city by a "friendly" local, get hammered at a brothel and walked out with $320 less than I came in with 🤣🤣 Great times

Hey I am an Afar from UK currently working in Afar Region. If you want to visit Danakil Desert, you don’t need to go through Mekelle, Tigray Region. You can get from Addis to Semera which is 50m flight and then head to Danakil from Semera which is the capital of Afar Regional State of Ethiopia and it is much more closer, safer and easier trip.

I will tell you like tribal wars, lawlessness, criminals not being brought to justice and kidnapping of locals and visitors. If you don’t get out of the capital city you should be ok. I recommend you spend ur money in Vegas or something Ethiopia to me it’s a waste of money. I’m from Ethiopia by the way.
