This video just broke, sitting here crying. Young dancers are so talented nowadays. And Twitch was the best of them all. RIP Twitch. 🙏You will always be the BEST and won't be forgotten.

I was thinking same thing. I miss Mary. And Nigel. I’ve been watching old routines -Kent, Jeanine, “What a difference Ade makes,” Robert, Ricky, Lauren, Kathryn, Melanie, did I mention Ricky 😍 - We really got to know those folks. Definitely rushed this year. I wish Adam or Tyce were judging. Nevertheless, I’m watching. Got a couple of favs too. 😍😍

Thiago had the best audition. To think he’s only 18 and his he’s beautiful to watch when dancing is insane.

Thiago’s audition was epic. I’ll never forget it. He was robbed on the show. Kept getting mediocre choreography that didn’t showcase his talent. He was sent home before we could see what he could do. Or at least something in his dance genre. Although the show didn’t have that same SYTYCD vibe.

So happy SYTYCD is finally back on! The season so far seems a bit rushed, and I was surprised we got only one episode of the Choreography Round and there was just one choreographer. Looking forward to what comes next, though.

I really love Thiago’s performance, he really opened up and dove deep in throughout his dance. He’s so cute and such a beauty king😍😍🤤and with that makeup mmmmmmmmmm😚 me likey😍😚

My mom always wanted to put me in dance classes when I was young but I was too shy. I do sing professionally but this makes he regret not doing it. All of these were phenomenally beautiful in their own ways. 🤩

Thiago and Konner were my favorites. They both made me feel something. I felt Konner was the better dancer for me because of his musicality and timing

In my opinion, Thiago was the most versatile, most prolific, and most talented dancer but was sacrificed for the overriding inclusion factor.

that's the one of the MAJOR weaknesses of the show! for some seasons, they overload their roster with cookie-cutter dancers, particularly white, contemporary female dancers, because they fear other genres are just too different for the viewing audience, when, imo, nothing could be further from the truth! e.g., anyone remember Season 10?!

Personally, on the show I thought Thiago should’ve stayed longer than he did. He picks up choreography faster, and makes everything he does look effortless yet so difficult at the same time.

I agree with #1. Konnor was my favorite; I was *so* disappointed when they cut him! Now I think I’m pretty evenly divided between Keaton (he and Alexis were absolutely spectacular in week 1 and then amazingly hot in their cha cha week 2, although I don’t know how Keaton managed to pull it off so well after only 2 ballroom lessons *ever* … I guess that’s talent! 😉😉😉) and Beau (who is really surprising me, which I love). But I also have to admit Waverly’s smile could light up the midnight sky!

There was something especial about the second dancer. Her routine was quite unique. I have seen most of the moves from the other dancers more or less before. They were all good but I had to go back to see the second dancer one more time.

No way Thiago should be gone already. He was top three minimum. Two of the guys should have gone home. Should be Carter, Keaton and Thiago still standing. It’s insane he’s gone. That’s when I knew the game was rigged

I think the problem is the judges. Thiago was an amazing dancer with great technique but not very likeable and seemed arrogant. Nigel was very good at critiquing the contestants about how off putting they might appear to the audience and help them to be more likable. None of judges have enough dance experience. I think Nigel, Mary and Mía Michaels were the best judges. Not one of the judges are qualified to talk about ballroom. I feel like the season 17 judges critiques are not helping the judges grow as dancers.

@@krystleh5487 I think the problem is that the voting audience is way too small. I mean, seriously, how many people fit in the place they're using for the final dances??? It looks like it can't be more than 200 ... or less ... and half of those there shouldn't be allowed to vote because theyre related to dancers on the show, so are obviously going to be biased. They should put the voting up to all of the American TV audience who is watching the show, especially since they call the winning dancer "America's favorite dancer." Not only would that be better for the show as a whole because the TV audience would be more invested in the show, but I think it would also be a lot more fair to the dancers to handle the voting that way. Although personally, I would have bet on Alexis, Keaton, and several others over Thiago as "America's favorite dancer," this show has no way to prove that *ANYONE* was America's favorite because *AMERICA* wasn't allowed to vote!

I agree it was rigged. Do you think that twitch was related to essence? She was by far the worst female dancer yet she made the top three and the judges never critiqued her dancing, except when twitch told her to point her foot which doesn't count

cutaway is normal. its a tv show afterall. the problem rather is these judges are ohh ahh too much unlike nigel and the older judges. they dont even looked like judges. seeing a flip make them fliped. like come on.

I stopped watching after they let go of Tiego, he was the best dancer!!! WTF!!! Not a fan of the new judges, mostly Jojo and Lea.

The format changes this year ruined everything. No live shows, no national vote, only 10 episodes. I'll watch again next year IF they apologize to Nigel and bring him back. And return to the Top 20 format.

I wish to God the judges would stop making really annoying noises during the dancers’ routines. I can’t watch SYTYCD anymore.

I can handle their cheering, but what drives me crazy is when the dance shows (they are all making this same extremely annoying mistake) turn the camera mid-dance to focus on the judges or someone in the audience instead of staying focused on the dance - where the action is! We don’t watch for the judges’ reactions, after all! And even if we did, we can obviously get that *after* the dancers have finished!

They should have changed the show's title to, So you think you can judge. Twitch is the only legit judge. How terribly disappointing to watch the judges send some of the best dancers home. We have a dance studio in our house too, Leah.

The camera work and frame rate are so over the top. It's an audition, not a music video. We want to see the dancers can do, not what the filmmakers can do. I skipped this season after 20 minutes because of the irritating judges and now I'm glad. I've been watching since season 1 through highs and lows and they've finally lost me.

I agree…they really ruined Thiago’s audition…luckily he danced this for a competition and seeing it without all the slowing down and flashing is much better

I prefer more recognizable dance "moves" rather than poses, manipulations, and other movements. It needs to have more dance moves, less tricks. Loved the last dancer more.

This was a horrible season with these new judges. The only one who was qualified to judge on this show was Twitch. These other two people need to keep going and take their loud mouths with them. So rude.
