As a noob I build my first base next to the level 38 mamaranth boss did not end well

For the cold area, you can also just have a fire type pal or a torch out instead of having a thermal undershirt - though you can also get thermal undershirts pretty easily as either rewards for finishing dungeons or from a vendor in the desert!

The cliff, second spot is my fav. Most raids don't even make it to you because you only have 1 access point and it's every elevated, you have 2 egg spawns within spitting distance of your base and the chillet boss that respawns in under an hour. As long as you can get past the initial frustration of a bumpy base until you can build plenty foundation over the rocky parts for a smooth route for your palkemon

One of my favorite ore gathering spots is behind the church ruins, its in that red grass zone, right next to the fast travel, theres like 8 nodes clustered tight together, and they respawn quickly

I used the cliff area a little ways to the left of Elizabee. It has a good number of ore, large space, and is almost immune to raids.

Great places for productivity. My main base is always authentically pleasing and flat lol

There's no need to put your base on sulfur. There is seven soul for nodes right beside a fast travel in the volcano area like literally beside it

There is a spot to the left of Petallia’s boss fight that is on the ring of land surrounding it, it has 12 ore nodes.

These are good for a 2nd or 3rd base, but 1st base should be totally flat and open. The sulphur is easy to mine enough yourself so would recommend going to the ore area next to them for a base (it's raidproof).

For my single player game I'm definitely going to to get the quartz base, Sulfur Base, and the cliff base next to the Valet and verdash bosses

Underrated base location. It’s just a good open spot but the open area right in front before the path way that leads to kingpen. It’s very open to build has a big upper rock that u can add onto ur base and have a castle or 2 story’s. Only one entrance for raids. From what I see at lvl 32 they only enter through the middle entry way. Every where else they can’t

Here's a lil personal tip: When my bf and I got to base lvl 10 we made another base in an ore spot and employed 4 tombats, pals to produce food, and lambells. The tombats mine the ore day and night, and the lambells move it to the chest. Using this farm we get up to 300 to even 600 ore in a short span of time

As soon as you spawn, turn around and run down the first 2 sets of stairs into the temple. Most raids will get stuck outside and won't make it to your base so minimal rebuilding.

you should use a wide open area for one base, as a main base, youll want the space for some if the builds (especially the breeding farm) and its just nice to have a lot of space for your main base, alternatively you can just download the 256 bases mod and turn the entire map into a base

I built my base at the first location!! I love how the area looks and it has so much ore so I figured it’d work. Funny that it showed up in this video lol

I'm probably in the minority, but I choose vanity over productivity. I like an aesthetically pleasing base and don't mind a little adventuring to collect resources.

Mine is on the forgotten island . It probably sucks location wise, but it feels like a base 😂

I think the second base isn't necessary, because in a village near the volcano, you can find a merchant that sells all ammo

I play on a server and I was able to snag the quartz location. And I put a base down in the small desert with the Anubis to get a coal base cause you get 6 coal and 1 iron. It’s decent. As well as the small dessert just being a great place late game to grind for paloil or do one run around it on a mount and grab 6 sulfer nodes. Not to mention the 16 other coal nodes around the place.

Thank you for 188 , -37 location. I found good spots for both ore and coal , but now that just adds to it.

North of Azurobe Alpha there's a spot with 10 ore nodes, made that my first base on my friends server.

I put mine at the two knight bridge leading into the forested area, it’s not very good for resources but the bridge is cool

My favorite place is the upper left island. There's a raised flat area that is perfect for breeding.

You just need ore and coal tho for the most part. Ammo you can buy so sulfur is not very useful. Quartz you dont need too much of. Every time need quartz, one batch of it will do plenty for a couple of things you need to make, and then you are back to working around ore and ingots for the most part again. So 2 ore bases and one breeding ground? And you are pretty much set for late game

Theres a location that has 10 ore nodes, and 11th ore node outside the base range and 1 coal, and its right next to a bunch of stone and a dungeon

The cliff was my first spot and only spot so far i gotta travel for simple things but it has sulfer coal and copper all in one bit not to mention it offers its own defense and spawns eggs around my base

Made by second base on the cliff near the chillet boss, nice farm area, especially when my foxpark huggy fire can kill chillet.. but the area for base building is small.. can't have everything i guess

BTW an ethical way of making some gold - Relaxsaurus sell for 2000 gold to pal marchants so if you go where they spawn and catch a load you can make a pretty penny to spend on some ammo rather than use resources. Green balls are fine if you weaken them first

That first location is where i built my second base after my first one burned down. Its incredible.

My first base is at the east cliff between the starting field and the ruins like area you start in, only one access point and for some reason the pathing for raids gets screwed up super often, meaning youre in very little danger and they cant jump down cliffs sooooo i think its pretty good, not much boulders or ores tho so youd have to travel to those

I have used 3 of these already so i would say gas choices tbh. The chillet farm is good and the ore spots are good early bases for farming dem ingots

I've got my second base at the second one shown, chillet is very convenient for ancient civilization parts

After 300h of this game I can tell u without a doubt a sulfur base is not needed, the only ammo u can't buy is Rocket Ammo, the rest just use base to farm 10k ores > 5k ingots > 5k Nails > 1.5M gold coins, and u're basically set for life regarding money for ammo, just farm some sulfur with Digtoise in ur party if u need to make Rocker Ammo

I didn’t build my main base on a metal area, but I did build another base on one that just passively collects ore as I play the game

Good for making an afk mining base sure, but i dont want my main base cluttered with a bunch of nodes. i want a nice big open space so i can have everything organized and spread out. im a fan of using beaches

You don’t need a sulfur base, at least not as much as you’d need others, but the rest are all great

sulfur and quartz ore bases are pretty much useless, specially if you dont play on hard mode or with friends. and yea the best base ingame is probably the one with iron/coal you mentioned since it cant be attacked and will produce tons of iron and coal wich will be needed in high quantities through the entire game. it works as a nice first base but its not easy to organize because pals get stuck easy in this place if theyre not human like and human size or smaller

My Favorite base location is in the Anubis desert. U have enough coal and ore A fast travel spot and a real beautiful location. For ore i wouldnt Place a base, astegon can farm enough in a few min

best location is beach starter location no raids will come to you they all will come from upper floors and you and your pals will be in saved

Sulfur and quartz not worth making a farming base at, you can forgo sulfur and just buy your ammo using the ore to make nails which sells very well. just make a quartz run when your run out 1 trip usually holds for a while

It is not a base exactly but a base to mine purely mine ore is behind the desolate church it has like 5-7 ore nodes but they are grouped together so much you get ore so much faster

Never use coal for carbon fiber. Use it for refined ore. You can use charcoal for carbon fiber which is just wood in a furnace.

Sulfur base is so waste of precious 3 bases... you can literally buy ammos from the merchant

The quartz and sulfur suggestions sucks. You don't need to waste a palbox there. You can just swoop them up when you need it. You'll need a lot of ore base in the later part of this early access game, so better set all or at least 2 palbox base on an ore spawn.
