I swear by the beach curl, Goddess box braids and the soft dread they all held me down whilst I had them in. They looked good and they acted right for a long time

Thanks to you those Amazon Box Braids are my personal new favorite. They are zero and I mean ZERO maintenance and very easy to install. The only way for that style to go left is if you just don’t like braids at all.

Another good vid, Lia! I’m watching your videos right now as I install some crochet hair. I’m using the Freetress Urban coil mixed with the Urban Twist curl. Haven’t seen many reviews on it! Anyways - would you possibly consider making a WORST CROCHET HAIR video?? Maybe even just fro 2022-2023 crochet styles? Great video!! I would also definitely recommend Mini Fro-Cee Twist Hair (Femafric). The low maintenance for weeks and weeks would convince almost anybody to try crochet hair 😊

You randomly came up in my algorithm. Im gonna comment here and come back to update. Im going to see my stylist this weekend to get crochet box braids done for the first time ever!! Ive done corn rows a couple of times before (before cutting my hair short) when i was younger but other than that ive never had any other protective styles. Ive gone through relaxers color. But i wanted to try something different this time. Ive always been super nervous about doing it because i always thought that i didnt have the facial structure for them. But we'll see how it goes!! 😊

Love this, thank you. Do you have any tips for reducing the volume of crochet braids? I’ve seen a few vids of different techniques. I’ve been on the fence about trying crochet braids mainly because of the volume of hair - ps., my head circumference is, ummm, “expanded” . Any intel is greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much for your video. I used to wear crochet hair a lot about seven years ago and I’m going to be getting another crochet style as a recent. What do you suggest for maintenance products for crochet hair and do you pull your hair up at night and what they used to call a pineapple kind of bun or what do you do for your nightly sleeping maintenance as well.

Thank you! I just had my first crochet install and its awful. I think I understand now why the hairdresser likes it, no way it lasts more than 2 weeks. So I'd like to pull it out in two weeks, just wash my hair in braids and install something better.

Just took out the Bobbi Boss Gogo Curl after 5 weeks. Looks gorgeous but tangles a lot so it's high maintenance. Washable too.

I tried the Amazon box braid and had an allergic reaction to it. Had it installed on a Sunday and had to remove it on Wednesday morning. I'm going to try the Freeress Beach Curl but I'm going to rinse it before the install just to be on the safe side.

I tried Freetress Beach curl and it was too shiny and fake looking to me. Maybe it looks less shiny in the lighter colors.

Next time separate it. One of the tricks with most crotchet hair is to use a leave in conditioner and separate it into two, three, or even four pieces.
