My experience with the design of items 3 & 5 was initially quite good, I bought two at the same time so I would always have one ready to go. The illumination was great on all five functions although the side spotlight wasn't much use as it always was partially blocked when wearing safety glasses or even regular glasses for close in work. The red light option was really useful but battery life was simply ok, but since I always had a spare to fall back on it was never really an issue. The problem that proved to be a deal breaker for any future purchase of this type came when the inside sealing strip behind the LED array de-bonded from the strap on both at about the same time. Later on the strap holding the array in place de-bonded as well, as it's a silicone based material it's really difficult to find a glue that will stick to it when I tried to repair it. It lasted for a while but came apart again whilst out on a dark rainy dog walk and now one of them has lost the white light functions (bright, dim & flashing) leaving me with just red light and the limited use side spot light. The other torch has all functions still working but I can't let it get wet and I now find that the elasticated strap has lost its stretch and is limited to just hanging round my neck. I have seem variations on the design that have the strap made from a ballistic nylon material and have a red light on the opposite side from the main light, like a runners head torch. But my colleague at work told me his failed completely after he used it twice. As a word of caution on all headtorches (plus just about everything else on line I suppose) be wary of seeing the same/similar items at different prices and thinking the price difference represents an increase in quality, it almost always doesn't as it's usually the same item simply sold by someone else for a higher price. My advice on this design, it's good of you get one that works but that's down to pure luck and even then it won't last as they are cheaply made and frequently seriously overpriced. I ended up buying something very expensive but at least it's built to last and you can get spares.

Nitecore, armytek, fenix, olight, and ledlenser are good lights

In fairness, the analysis of headlamps should have been in two categories, rechargeable and battery-operated. The difference in use and needs is obvious.
