Prank-Kids was designed in such a way that having *any* archetypal Link 1 would immediately make it able to full combo from a single main deck monster. Meow Meow's substitution effect is a nice bonus, but overall it might as well be a vanilla. Like Monk of the Tenyi on steroids.

@DoctorFalchion I literally agree. I was thinking you can give them a contact 1 material fusion with no effect on the TCG side. That way when she does get unbanned at maybe 1 copy the deck is still consistent without double rageki each turn

I would argue against this, first of all, yes, the restrictions during master rule 4 were quite interesting, but it came at a cost of other summoning methods, synchro, xyz, etc., and having a summoning method be "required" isn't healthy for the game's lifespan. Secondly, when had the game been not a knightmare to balance, although this knightmare was just a little bit larger due to the jump in power level, this stuff can be ironed out in time. Next, the absence of co-linking and other mechanics is because kanomi uses link summoning as support for decks instead of the main focus currently, but eventually these mechanics will return in future decks. Finally, like every fanbase, there is going to be backlash behind every update, ex. pvz, overwatch, super smash bros, etc., and it is common for complaints to come from people who haven't played than a long time because those people dislike change. Although we may disagree, I do understand that this is just your opinion and I just wanted to give my opinion on the topic instead of saying a phrase that adds nothing to the conversation.

mr5 was necessary imo while there were many decks that could play around link arrows it butchered many rogue decks that might have had a decent shot in the meta otherwise and simply adding archetypal link monster didn't always solve the problem because sometimes deck in question wasn't capable of summoning their link and continuing their play or link monster they received was borderline useless sometimes.

A card is only as good as the plays it enables. Max reads crazy but it never amounts to anything in the long run
