Research at MIT by David Elliot showed that Markets are outside the NOISE RANGE when Bollinger bands are 0.8 SD & are 10 periods & price is trading outside the trending BB--no matter what the time frame( 5M,15M,1H,4h,Daily---etc.). Can I plot the Hull's Moving Average for a smoother and less lagging average (and for a plus, applying the Rate of Change on it as well) and then apply the two standard deviations for optimal results?

You did well by explaining the maths behind the indicator. Many other videos show how to use an indicator but if they don't explain the maths behind the indicator, viewers are likely to use it wrongly and get many false signals. Thanks for the video.

That's a great bunch of information. The extreme opposite are the MOBO bands, .737 deviation. Typically rounded to .8. In some of that range bound price, I like to use a regression channel or even do an Andrews Pitchfork and drag anchor "A" to a point in space where the pitchfork has the best resolution. Observe what happens to price when the entire body of the candle closes outside of the 2 std deviation! Now that's the real secret sauce!

Sir, 10 period Bollinger band one SD in any time frame captures trend.Lot of work on this came out of MIT. If 1H & 4H trend is up one can safely enter on 15 minute chart,when 15 minute correction is over.Any suggestions? Traders biggest enemy is trend flipping on A dime(e.g. 1H/lower time frame trend).Trend on 4H chart is the best trend guide for majority of forex traders( if one keeps trades for 2-5 days). By the time trader realizes that trend on daily chart is up, market has already gone up about 3-5 days & if you ask supercomputer for the mathematical odds, computer tells you that odds are negative right from the start.Trend based on the last 5-10,four hourly candles has enough players/juice behind it so that it would not flip on A dime, so trader has decent chance to make something without buying overpriced asset. We seek your wisdom?

In this video your explained what the B band is but somehow forgot to tell how it can be of use to a trader.
