Old forester 86 is good too, sometimes available in Tesco but not all year round for around £23, I have a bottle of old forester 1910 on the way which I’m ver excited about!

I’ve never seen an Old Forester on a shelf anywhere! Otherwise I’d have had it for sure. Enjoy the 1910! I’ve got both that and the 1920 on my shortlist for this year!

I always get it from Tesco by Birmingham where I live and I spotted it today in a Tesco in Romford London. It’s lovely stuff with a slight banana note on the end. Thanks, the 1910 is a birthday treat, maybe next year it will be the 1920 😂 💰 💰 💰

To be fair I don’t have many good Tesco’s near me, I’ll have to take a trip out to one of the bigger stores. Yeah the price of bottles is becoming very limiting, just checked the prices and they’ve gone up a good £25+ each since I last looked at them!

Got my 1910 from hedonism wines it was stuck at around £110 for ages but then it suddenly dropped to £70 so I was straight in there!

@@Craftbeercentral I could’ve sworn they were around £50-60 last year! Hadn’t realised they’d gone that high. Might need to considering ordering soon then 😅

Have you tried the Jack Daniel’s Triple Mash? Waitrose stock it and regularly have an offer on. Not really entry level but a very interesting one from JD.

I haven't actually, I'm pretty sure they are using the Bottled-in-Bond whiskey I mentioned in this video as one of the three they blend, as I'm not a huge fan of it I've been hesitant, but if you think it's better I'll give it a go! It's probably not a very good beginner product it terms of a true-to-form bourbon, but the price certainly isn't too bad!

Hard to find Eagle Rare in Southern California for some reason, but I like it. Buffalo Trace is reliable

You can find buffalo trace for under $30 everywhere in So Cal, but I’m hearing some parts of a America not as easy to get.

The Jack Daniels BIB you showed is still available on US Military bases. At least every time I look at the liquor store, "Class 6" on post it is there. I feel that it is better than Bonded but it is supposed to be the same juice. Cheers

Interesting! That bottle, at least in Europe, was a Travellers Special Edition, so only really available in airports etc. Though there seem to be one or two specialists that stock it for online order. It’s always in a 1 litre bottle rather than the 700ml the Bonded comes in here.

@@TheCrumbyBeard yes, the bottles I have are a liter bottle as well. I am in Tennessee and I really expected it to be a 750ml. So it makes more sense that is the international release and just put in military outposts..

Wild turkey 🦃 101 made me to fall in love with bourbon. Any idea about Evan Williams bib? Thought you showed wr regular one, red one is wheat one?

I haven't had any Evan Williams for a long time I'm afraid so I can't comment. Good spot on the Woodford! I showed the correct one at first but when I lined them up at the end I accidentally grabbed the Wheated by mistake!

There's really not much positive to be said for any Jack Daniels below the "Single Barrel": White Label, Gentleman Jack, Old No.7 - they're all trerribly mediocre. The "Single Barrel" is solid, and they also make a "Single Barrel Rye", which is fantastic. The "Makers' Mark" is so sweet because it features a high percentage of wheat, which does nothing for me. Many people love it, because they're wimps. ;) Eagle Rare is terrific at its price point, I've had it many times. And not just because the bottle with the etched-in eagle is so gorgeous.Overall,a very good round-up.

I've heard a lot of good things about their Single Barrel Rye, I'll have to pick one up! I think Makers being so sweet explains why its popular, but it also might be a better intro for people in to the space if they're coming from something like a spiced rum background. I'm doing a video on the two Maker's bottles I've got next week so will get re-acquainted. Cheers!

@@TheCrumbyBeard Sorry, I mixed up some Jim Beam and Jack Daniels whiskeys above. The Jim Beam White Label is the bargain-basement Bourbon at supermarkets in my country, the Jack Daniels No.7 the corresponding one, but (very) slightly more expensive.

@@ThomasTVP ah! I was trying to think what the JD white label was 😂 yes these two are our cheapest also usually, though often JD No7 ends up more than some on my list just because of the name and not the quality of what’s in the bottle. Cheers!
