I'm glad you said maintenance first. A lot of these young boys worry about wheels and coil overs, before they fix those oil leaks and replace that "about to break" timing belt.

Triple door seals, a strip along the bottom of the doors, front, and rear edges. Just makes the car sound a lot more solid when you shut the doors.

@@onekrr You can find them on Amazon, look for D, P, and Z-shaped EPDM seals. You'd have to buy each shape separately though I've seen some kits that have all three together, but those seem to be lacking in quality.

Erick Vazquez I looked at the TL and G35 predominately. Glad I went with Acura. To learn more. Do what you’re doing, ASK questions! There are a plethora of channels. I watched 100 videos before purchasing mine. And the TL is not without faults. Transmission, cracking seats/dash, squeaky brakes, education is key.

Just picked up an 01 TL $1k flat. High in mileage but just had a brand new transmission a couple years ago, plus a lot of other work done. Not as nice as the 3rd gen but I still love the styling and that 3.2 VTEC V6 is a blast to drive.

If you want louder than stock, do the mod. If you want ALOT louder, straight pipe is the way to go

I got the progressive sway bar, and ya its tighter, probably too tight because i went from sliding out at my autocross to spinning around because my tires were shit.

Rear Sway bar is definitely needed in mine. I hit uphill corners at high speed speed and rear twitches around.

I always recommend repairs first, then maintenance, then mods. Wheels and tires to first start off. Then a good set of coil overs. It will make the car look and feel alot better

Short ram Air intake is the best cheap mod $120 can get you 7 to 10 HP and 3 to 5 torque

You mean a Hot air intake? Nah bro... You'd be better off removing your spare tire vs adding a short ram... 10lbs = 1 horsepower when it comes to weight reduction... Not an exact number but a relatively safe number to go off of.. 50lbs reduction = 5hp worth of mods & you keep your healthy stock air intake that works perfectly fine. Go cold air intake or keep it stock. You'd be better off saving for a tune, and taking your spare tire & jack out. That's just an old mechanics advice.... Lighter rims and tires make a huge difference also...

Do do the intake resonator delete too. Makes a huge difference in sound and gives a little more throttle response

I've gone through three of them currently my Type-S just went into limp mode cuz the battery voltage just had to go buy a new battery now I got to do a 3x 3 flush and replace 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches everybody should do preventative maintenance before mods 👌👌

I have a 08 type s kbp 6mt my mods are as follows. Cold air intake, manifold and throttle body spacers,kv coil overs, atlp exhaust with full a-spec lip kit ,honda data ecu reflash and the car is coverd head to toe in xpel.

Depending on what you're going for, there's tons of vinyl shops and stores. I would just get it off amazon. Quality can vary, go by reviews

I have a Acura TL and I love it so I wanna keep it around as long as I can. I’ve done all the other work on it as far as oil leaks etc So questions. Where can I get an OEM lip from? I’m not sure about how to go about getting a stage 3 mod done. Any insight on those?

OEM lips are discontinued. But might be able to find it through the dealer. I bought mines 2 years ago, when it was more common. Also might be able to find on your local classifieds. I have a Stage 3 exhaust mod video if you want to check that out..kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bLmfe5x92Ky-Y6c.html If you get a Dynomax resonator, you can have a muffler shop weld that on for you, and straight pipe the mid muffler

To maximize gains, you should tune. But it is not needed.

My 02 acura is at 225k miles and ive replaced the starter, battery, sparkplugs, oil, multiple tires lol and i have yet to change my power steeringhose😔

I bought one lowered and took it back to stock height when I replaced the struts. Handling suffered abit but still ok. I don't think it's worth it when you have worry about bumps and bent rims.

If done right, you can lower your car and not have issues. But for the most part, lowering a car puts more stress on other suspension parts, therefore decreasing the lifespan of those parts. Just the drawbacks of modding

Possible battery drain. Look up "HFL battery drain". It's a common issue on the TL's

Its bright white. Because of certain lighting and how the camera picks it up, colors can vary

Installing a lightweight pulley is also a pretty good (cheapish) mod when you're about to do the timing belt.

@@melonycarey3675 It helps it Rev slightly faster and releases more of its own HP from the crank to the wheels. Some people say they don't feel a difference but more often than not people say they definitely feel a difference in acceleration.

I don't know too much about 4th gens, but you can do the same mods on this list. Vinyl wrap, LED lights, tint, etc. If you're on a budget, you just need to be creative or keep an eye out for deals

Stage 3 mod. Replaced the OEM resonator with a Dynomax one and straight piped where the mid muffler would be

Could be cuz of sound in the video. Same resonator, the longer one. I'm completely satisfied with the sound. Loud enough for me. Your taste will vary. I'm sure you're looking for a more aggressive sound, which is fine. Everyone is different. I'm over the roudy exhausts lol

Parts aren't too much, just labor varies from shop to shop. I got mine's done (parts and all) under $300

Air intake you can build for $50 or under. Cut the mufflers out and put a 2 1/4 inch pipe in place. For like $200 you can get a solid 10hp and better sound.

You'd have to go for a custom turbo setup if you wanted those kinds of gains, which would be very costly and would take time as well. You're better off modding a turbo car rather than trying to extract that kind of power from a J series

This is based off my list and my suggestions to give people ideas. I'm sure everyone's going to be different. IMO, cold air intake is not worth it, it's over $200 for a quality one, and you honestly don't feel gains unless you pair it with other mods and a tune.
