I said the same in 1977 when I was in the US Navy and in the Philippines. The town outside the navy base was filled with clubs and bars. Every one had live performances. I would go just to listen to the local talent. The Philippines is my favorite place I have visited. Ever! I love it there and Filipinos.

First, thanks to Adele for the wonderful singing and writings talents she has shared with all of us. After going through all of these talented performers, the one I come back to is the first young guy. Someday he will stand alone as a performer. He has the voice and emotional connection to deliver the song. All he needs is time to develop and hard work.

Theoni Marks from The Voice Australia is the absolute best version. Beautiful voice and a unique style. Not a repeat of the original. No one matches Adele and Theoni knew it. So she didn’t. Instead she forged her own path like the movement of rippling waters. From beginning to end her vocal fluidity was a masterpiece.

This song is not for the youth. All the performances are technically very good. But Rosalya got it right. She felt the song and its message, she was singing with her own voice, not trying to copy Adele. Her performance gave me goosebumps.
