These are definitely good long term goals. Setting smaller term goals is definitely super helpful as well and helps prevent burnout because you feel like you're actually improving your character and not just eternally far from the end-game. I'm on my 3rd character (one I started in 2008 and had until 2013, one on osrs in 2013 that got hacked, and one on osrs I started in 2017). I feel like my progress has gone much quicker and I don't burn out as much bc even though I don't log in every day, every time I log in I set a short term goal. For example, one day I might grind lvl 60-65 strength and then log off. Not the most efficient for overall xp but it's been the most efficient for me bc I don't ever feel burnt out

Was expecting the big 3 untradeables to be fire cape, avas and defender but those are good tips too, when i first started i had no idea torso was a thing it would've saved me tons of time :P

For me as a skiller what i did when it comes to how to go about skills was attacking the skills i knew was going to suck, and doing the worst skills first. Currently 94 runecrafting and its going to be my 3rd 99. Because i dont want it to be in the back of my mind. So thats my tip just embrace the grind, take the Devil by its horn and just attack everything

The elite void reward for completing the western prov hard doesn't just give prayer but a 2.5% dmg increase over reg void fairly useful for Vorkath as that stacks with the Salve (ei). Good vid my guy!

Fighter hat used to be bis if neitiznot helm +3 str didn't give you a max hit, but now that there's the serpentine helm and faceguard its not really used. I still love having mine, good when you have a low atk level.

I think getting quest cape is essential to even begin playing the game. It’s a huge part of beating the game though to the journey of it. I have 3 quests left. Then doing achievement diaries hard and elite, then going for maxing everything else out I can as well as bossing etc etc. but end game lvls 80-99 is where the real fun is at after you get all these things out of the way into the real fun in my opinion which is where I’m at now.

Okay but running with weights is actually an AMAZING way to pump up your endurance. Do the same run everyday. Once you’re used to it, add a few pounds of weight. You don’t have to run more, just add more weight :D

Awsome job on the vid! Love your philosophy on efficiency >:) any player needs to have a goal set. Starting off that goal is skills/quests/bossing. Later will be things like collections/collection logs. The list can go on and on......

A good idea would be to op the diary items.. Even more so than regular items you can buy.. Financially.. A rune scim for example costs 15k which equates to what 1c real? Make the max f2p Items have 10 str points higher.. They'll get more people involved in actually playing.. Then if you buy a runescim it's pretty simple and easy to train.. So pkers get caught out cause not the best.. And even food.. Have f2p diaries items heal 3 points higher then swordfish.. Will make everyone chase the best rather than just the one skill level..

guide is still up to date besides the gloves, now you need dragon slayer 2 for best in slot gloves.

Void isn’t an item that is much needed over dragon defender. The big three should’ve been fire cape, torso and dragon defender. Because they save you a lot of money.

I just came back after 9 years and I play on a potato! Took me about a month but I finally hit 89 combat and barrows gloves with firecape completed I really want a torso lol but I never got picked up caz I’m a noob but I’m geared up and set to train combat further and get to bossing and higher lvl slayer 😄 construction is my only fear because of cost lmao

tldr: tick manip is fun and not mind numbing-ly boring when you actually want to play rs and not afk i learned how to tick manipulate while grinding hunter. Most people know chin hunting is boring as hell so I looked up how to 3 tick to speed things up. Eventually i started learning it and i noticed sometimes I could set traps even faster than 3 tick but didnt understand how. After some more looking up I found a really great guide on tick manip for hunting and found out you can set 2 traps in the same tick cycle. (I guess this is 1 tick hunting?) Either way i started picking up the 1 tick method and mastered it by about 90 hunting with 0 mistakes. I did this all the way to 99 and loved it. It's way more fun than the really slow semi afk way of hunting. My take on it is youre actually playing a game rather than doing some mindless boring box clicking. I think no one does these methods for a couple reasons. The first being intimidation. People see tick manip as some crazy 200m in all stats method but it's really not hard at all and great to speed up training. Second reason is the lack of updated guides. As far as i can tell the guides are really lacking because they are old and really long with a ton of details. Sorry im rambling but tick manipulation is a recent discovery of mine and as an average player I feel like more people should learn this skill 😁

I actually really agree with the last thing you said, I feel like "the meta" is different from player to player, maybe you do 3-tic Barb fishing cuz it's technically the fastest xp, but you struggle to do it for long periods cuz it's so attention intensive so you take frequent breaks, for most people I think they would reach their xp goal sooner if they just did regular Barb fishing without as many breaks, not necessarily faster in terms of ingame time but faster in terms of total time passed sense the beginning of the grind, like you might save a few ingame hours 3-ticing, but is it really worth those few hours if you keep getting burnt out and could have reached your goal sooner if you just did a slower method without stopping and burning out so often? Not sure if any of that makes sense lol, but I personally Tic manipulate semi often, I usually do it on and off, instead of logging off when it becomes to much for me, I just switch to the regular training method until I get the urge to put more attention into my game play.

As of now my lowest stats are both 50 an it’s fletching an like rune crafting lol. Most are around 60-70s
