Hey man, love your channel, love dexters, I appreciate your videos, time, and knowledge. Plus you actually respond to people on your channel, which I think is important. One day your channel is gonna blow up due to these crazy algorithms and I know you won’t be able to respond to everyone, so I’m here at the beginning hoping to soak it all in while I can… So over last summer I got 4 dexters, 2x 2 year old heifers and 2 cows 5/9years old. The lady said they weren’t pregnant. Over the last month or so, I’ve noticed the 9 year old cow get rounder and rounder, noticeably more bulgey than the others. Today i noticed what I thought was movement in her stomach area, towards the rear of her torso and on her right side. So naturally I been watching YT videos all day and night, and I really think she might be preggo. Her hooha is fairly swollen but not all loosened up and droopy, I swear her udders are looking more full but I can’t be sure on that, and she stays at the hay trough long after the others like she’s eating for 2… I was gonna make a short video tomoro and post it up and I’m hoping you can take a look and gimmie your opinion please. I wean mine here at 6 month'ish of time. I tried letting nature run and had more than a few having new calves eating while the free loader from last year was also eating. Not that it hurt anything, but didn't like the yearling stealing from the newborn. Also, it is nice to have the yearlings out of there when calving, I have found in some cases the yearlings to be in the way causing trouble when the cows calved. Also, I can get the weaned steer calves on their feed program sooner.
