In this episode of DUNK LEAGUE, we're headed to the streets of New York for the FINALS with our top 5 dunkers. From this point on, one dunker gets eliminated every competition until we've crowned our champion. In this round, the dunkers bring out members of the crowd in the "For My People" challenge. @@jaivl1106 He actually has to keep in mind to get over the person and still finish the dunk. All Chris did was put his arm in the basket yea it was clean, but that's all he had to do. Chris just copied Kilganon's dunk, no creativity on his own. He tried that earlier in the competition and lost against Kilganon when trying to do the Scorpion.

He made his dunk really dirty. Yeah it was more hard with jumping over person and two hands, but in slow replay it's shown that it's bad final of the dunk. Chris got it more easier but clean and cool

bro.. jumping high with the ball in your hand is a lot harder than jumping high without the ball in your hand. Also, his actually honey dip was cleaner than Jordans, if you look at Jordan's slow mo he loses the ball, then he dips his arm in. Whereas Staples actually dips his arm while still holding the ball. And finally Staples really windmilled it.

Siby Samuel ok but all he needs to do is have a firm grip on the ball doing the windmill and dunk. JK had to clear Isiah and get a firm grip on the ball to place it in and jumps higher to put elbow in the rim.

he did a dunk the shows how high you can jump i.e. Elbow in the rim. The issue is its easier to jump higher without the ball in your hands. Chris one upped by carrying the up the ball and using extra power to still get the necessary height for elbow in the rim. They both got high enough to jump over a person so it doesnt matter. JKs dunk is actually sort of a trick for people who dont know to dunking well

Nah man, as much as I am a Jordan fan and love him and his dunks, Chris' dunk was more of a statement. Kind of like "I'll take your dunk and raise you mine". He did it without props, flew in by himself. To me, that's harder than getting the ball off a prop and getting that little push.Plus, Chris' dunk had more flair and the ball went in straight. Jordan's seemed like it was barely making it. I'm sad that they had to go toe to toe, I wish this was the last round of the final.

Jonathon Clark did the hardest dunk and didn’t win cause the number of attempts it took him. If Jordan didn’t fumble the ball actually windmilled and punched it through with just a little bit of power he would’ve won. But he didn’t.

That’s why it’s easier to throw a lob to your self. The ball is already in the air. Just like the prop. Try going up while holding the ball and windmilling it. It’s harder.

Richard Varnell he did a dunk the shows how high you can jump i.e. Elbow in the rim. The issue is its easier to jump higher without the ball in your hands. Chris one upped by carrying the up the ball and using extra power to still get the necessary height for elbow in the rim. They both got high enough to jump over a person so it doesnt matter. JKs dunk is actually sort of a trick for people who dont know to dunking well

Chris got way higher and did it way more clean. Not only did kilagon fail to get his full arm in the rim but the prop made it way easier because he was able to keep his momentum going in the air by pushing off the ball.... look at the replay

I agree that Jordan's dunk was more difficult, I honestly think he should've won that too, but I think what the judges saw was how smooth and powerful Chris's dunk was. Jordan kinda fumbled it. If he hit the dunk just a bit more cleanly he would've won for sure

Smoothness shouldn’t matter cause what happens if I do a one handed dunk nothing special goes in smooth but you do a 360 dunk but it doesn’t go in smooth and I win would you be alright with that or the decision that was made just cause your wasn’t smooth like cmon no sense

Put it this way, if the dunk without the person where the finish is NOT smooth is worth 85 but you add another 5 because it has a person = 90 but if the dunk that IS smooth is worth 91 + 0 because there is no person. 91>90 It's really upto the judges and what they value more.

From what I've heard, the type of dunk Jordan did gives you a slight push off, which equals more air time. Guys with experience dunking understand this slight cheat, but for the public... they just see that one person went straight up and the other jumped over someone. Also it's easier to jump without the ball in your hand. And lastly, Jordan lost control of the ball prior to dipping his arm. Chris's dip was a lot cleaner.
