The first contestant was the only one who gave a very specific answer on what the Ph Gov can do re: LBGTQ issues and that is to pass the existing SOGIE bill. The rest of them basically just repeated the aforementioned struggles of the rainbow community members. I agree on pushing for the Sogie bill but I also would have taken the chance to tackle the importance of “The separation of Church and State”. As we all know it is religious opposition that has been the hindrance to passing anything that is LGBTQIA+ related bills.

Apakahaba naman ng tanong kaloka. Yung nagsulat nyan nag feeling talino-talinuhan naman. Pwede namang gawing maiksi lang ang daming palabok. Also, dapat may time limit sa pag sagot parang naging Declamation contest ang format

Simply. Pass the same sex union bill, no hesitation but with conviction that behind the law are the faces that it will serve. Faces of people that are loving and caring. A minority group that has never caused any civil unrest, genocide, societal dysfunction, war and famine. Its about time that the government and other sectors of the government including churches to treat the LGBTQ+A as people who needs to have the right to own and share property with their chosen partners because when they succeed as individuals, entrepreneurs, doctors, teachers, lawyers, engineers, etc. the society will eventually reap the economic contributions that this sector of the society brings to the table.

That's because there were some 'candidates in waiting' with their ears covered with headphones including the men holding the headphones in place who were standing right behind the first candidate blocking most of the words on the lower half of the question that were shown on the stage's big screen which could make the first candidate impossible to see or read the entire question. Or, it could be that the hosts were probably unprepared of whether to read the question using their cue card to each individual candidate or they were just completely unaware that the question was already being displayed on the big background screen directly right behind them. Or, they were probably doing it on purpose as a way of distracting the rest of the 'candidates in waiting' so that they would all assume that each one of them has an entirely different question to answer that is totally different from that of the first candidate's question although unbeknownst to them that they all have only one set of question from a single source.
