Morning Dan, great review thank you, I had been given a creed tester set for my birthday last month as have been thinking about buying my first bottle from the house for a while now. The set had Viking Viking cologne, aventus and green Irish tweed, which was the one I was originally thinking of buying, but out of the five samples the one that really did surprise me and that I liked the most was original vetiver, so really glad that you had mentioned this in your alternatives list and to hear your thoughts on it, think I will go with this and will definitely look to try others on this list too as I don't always like to go with the obvious or popular choice. Have recently tried gravitas this month too as this was another on my list of potential purchases, luckily a friend had bought a bottle and had kindly let me have a couple of sprays to try. Have to say it is fantastic, you guys have done a top quality job for sure so gravitas is a definite on my purchase list in the next couple of months. As always great content much appreciated 👍

Great, sophisticated video! I do like Viking, but agree it's not super original. Vetiver, Himalaya, and Erolfa are excellent -- read: more unique & distinct -- alternatives...while maintaining the Viking versatility. (I bought Himalaya -- i.e., Metallic Silver Mountain Water -- for my nephew, and polished off a bottle of Erolfa, which, as you note, is an excellent salty-seafoam scent.)

i also agree with royal water over viking cologne if one wants a mature-ish frag. so true.

I just wear Himalaya to the gym. I love the original Creed Viking. Didn’t even know about the flanker until today.

I just don't like the idea of Creed getting into the flanker game. If they want to do that, lower the price. Otherwise stick to one-off artistic expressions that stand alone, even if they are designer-like mass appealing. Niche or designer, Creed, think this through.

Feel both the Viking fragrances are underwhelming. Nice to see original vetiver and Himilaya getting featured, two if my favourites.

Having tried both Neroli Sauvage and Original Vetiver, the petitgrain and ambergris notes of the former make it a solid citrus aromatic, and that spicy and fizzy ginger and Vetiver drydown of the latter add something that you just don’t get in Mugler Cologne. They both smell great, but for the price, they’re a pass for me. Sorry Creedophiles, but I gotta be completely phrank and honest with you, as the Pontiph would say. If I could afford to burn through money, then Original Vetiver would be my Creed of choice.
